Can you play any instruments? If so how well?

I can play a trumpet well.
Simple songs on an piano, some even two handed.
Harmonica just goofing around with simple songs as well.

I'm thinking of some casual self teaching guitar. There is software and DVD's you can use.

I played Trombone for a long time, until I realized how pathetic that was. Now I play guitar and bass quite well. Teaching myself some piano, and I still suck at that.

I taught myself guitar. I never messed with software/DVDs/lessons.

The way that worked for me was finding tabs for my favorite songs and teaching myself how to play them. I learned just about every chord in the book and a lot of technique this way.

Lets see... used to play piano and trombone as well.

Can play guitar reasonably well... at least most rhythm parts and some light lead... can't play any speed demon stuff on my electric, but it's a Tele so it's not exactly built for that. Bass, I noodle with from time to time, good enough for basic songs.

I did choir in college and have some voice training if you count your voice as an instrument... some of those people in American Idol use it as an instrument to inflict pain

Always wanted to learn how to play the piano. My father came across a piano that this guy was giving away. He would have taken it, but they couldn't get it out his basement. :frown:

I have played trumpet for 8 years, and guitar for 5. I have also messed around with piano and bass.
Dad has a recording studio in town.

I used to be able to play the bassoon really well. Haven't played in a number of years, though.

Thats pretty much how i taught myself the bass guitar. Ive been playing for a year, but only "seriously" for about 6 months, and I can now play almost anything thats already been done (excluding stuff like Flea and Vic Wooten), and can sing and play most of what I know already.

Im trying to teach myself theory now so I can write my own stuff.

I also played trumpet in high school, and was first chair. I havent played since high school though (5 years ago)

I played French Horn and Saxophone through Middle and High School, even had a short stint with the community orchestra.

My dad played Bass, and I toyed around with it a little, but never got into it.
