Simple songs on an piano, some even two handed.
Harmonica just goofing around with simple songs as well.

I'm thinking of some casual self teaching guitar. There is software and DVD's you can use.

I was going for NH AllState trumpet in my sophomore year of high school, then we moved to FL and I didn't play for 1 1/2 years..what a mistake. I'm not too bad now, but I don't think I'm quite where I was - I need to start practicing regularly again. One of these days, I'll be able to play Carnival of Venice well..those fast lip slurs get to me now, though.. :p

I've played jazz guitar for 5 years. In total, I've played guitar for about 10 years now. I've just picked up Double Bass for about 4 months now and I'm really liking it.

I can play every instrument in the world.

It may sound like sh!t because I've never played any instrument. But just answering your question with a smart@ss answer.

I've played the viola for a long time and I would practice more if only this stupid engineering program didn't take up so much time :|

I can play the piano reasonably well, though it takes me forever to learn even short pieces because I can't read notes very well, and thus I must memorize everything I play (not necessarily a bad thing, I guess). Needless to say, my skills are nothing compared to some of the piano experts on these boards.

I used to do reasonably well on the clarinet (my mom has two, and she was trying to get me to learn how to play it), but that came to an end about four years ago when I got a really bad sinus infection for a few weeks, and never resumed practice of the instrument afterwards.

The guitar is another instrument that I have played around with. My dad's "classical" acoustic guitar doesn't lend itself well to playing the solos from my favorite songs, and the guitar is crappily built. Aside from learning really basic stuff like the intros to Boston's Peace of Mind and Metallica's Fade to Black, I never pursued the learning of the guitar very much.

I can play a conch shell, and I play it fairly well. Granted, it's only capable of one note, but still.

Piano, oboe, clarinet, drums, english horn.

Now stop asking. ;)

(Referring to the millions of times this thread has popped up).

EDIT: Almost forgot my shameless plug-I teach piano and oboe lessons, so if you live in the Chicago area and are looking to start, PM me.
