i grew up in florida and got my license there, so parallel parking was never part of the test. i live in nyc now, however, but i still don't know how to parallel park and i drive to work every day 😱

i'm lucky because there are 60 and 90-degree parking spots near my apt, and there's a normal parking lot by my office. but one day, i'm gonna be screwed, and i'll have to make someone teach me 🙂

I parallel park my pickup all the time. Did it yesterday, in fact -- slid right in, first try. just like the magic stick ... *cough* I'll be here all night.

I have been driving for over 40 years and never learned how to parallel park. I just ram the damn cars out of the way and then act demented. Works every time.

Not very well. Trucks are not the easiest vehicles to parallel park...

That being said though, I am highly proficient in parallel porking. 😎

when was the last time you were in florida...perhaps not S. Fla (orlando south)....the past 20 years parallel parking was required if not in a garage.

Still most nights I was seek perpendicular parking.

Parallel is easy...pass, back up, cut, cut...leave and hope no one either hits your ride or blocks you in.
