The Police - 1977
REM (can they be classic by now?) - 1980
RHCP (same) - 1983
Queensryche - 1982
Whitesnake - 1978
Cinderella - 1983
Smashing Pumpkin (because I like them) - 1988, did I mention I like them?
Pearl Jam - 1984
Days of the New (not really classic, but rock nonetheless) - 1995, they rock
Live - 1988

So either you're too old to remember, or too young to know anything. Also, it's 2015, do the math.

Edit: Add Motley Crue to that list as well. And fuck you if you think they're too "young" to be added.
Yeah..Whitesnake in 1978..LOL

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IazFHSze7pA circa 1983 I think
Warning:Faptasticness!

Whitesnake..I like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_tfq0qTDDE
That's 1988

65-75 is the main classic rock era, IMO.

Hendrix
Dylan
Zeppelin
Floyd
Joplin
Doors
Skynard
Allman
Eagles
CCR
Cream
Who
Steve Miller
Stones

Less Classic Rock and more Arena Rock, IMO:
Queen
Van Halen
Styx
Aerosmith
The Police
Guns n Roses
AC/DC
Journey

Is there a way I can download a couple dozen songs all at once from anyone here?

It is taking way too much time to individually locate a good working song and downloading it.

Just asking for what it is worth.

I can't disagree with this.

the only problem I have with prince is that he'll remove a video that has any of his music in it, even if it's just incidental. he's very protective of his material.
