Non-repeats of the above:

REO Speedwagon
Mott the Hoople
Joe Cocker
Buffalo Springfield
The Hollies (Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress)
Peter Gabriel (edit: took me a while to think of these; I see Gabriel was just mentioned)
Mamas and the Papas
Bad Company - how wasn't that mentioned yet?
Yes (Yes, Dave Simmons mentioned this awesome band, but then the word was also used a dozen times, so in case it's overlooked..)
Neil Diamond - you either love him or you hate him, but you'll still sing to Cracklin Rose
Eric Clapton? Bueller? Bueller? How the hell wasn't that mentioned either?

I kept wanting to type that...but I just couldn't convince my fingers to do it. (the classic rock station back home, throughout the nineties, should have just been named the Bad Company station. their 2 songs were in the every 3rd and 5th song rotation. EVERY DAY)

Cream was mentioned in place of Clapton, which is a better pull, imo.

as for Yes:

So either you're too old to remember, or too young to know anything.
I like Smashing Pumpkins, Live, and Days of the New... but most of their hits are from the 90s. R.E.M., RHCP and Pearl Jam sounds more new age to me, despite how long they've been around. Since you're the only one that suggested these bands, I'm inclined to believe that they're not considered "classic rock" by most people's standards though... probably more Alternative Rock?

Krokus
Dokken
Motorhead
Iron Maiden
Riot
Ratt
Oh, add Triumph to my list above - that's a big oversight

I can't wait a week for you all to recover, so I'll just drop a classic rock nuke and melt your brains.

Ted Nugent -- Ted Nugent
Ted Nugent -- Double Live Gonzo
Ted Nugent -- Cat Scratch Fever

Damn, DrPizza just knocked it out of the park! That's pretty much the soundtrack from my teenage years. Awesome.

That's a whole other ball of wax. And calling it classic is admitting you're old. I'm not ready to concede the 80s to classic status. :)

But if you like that music you should look into.....

Def Leppard -- On Through The Night
Def Leppard -- High -n- Dry

Racer X -- Street Lethal (have a check up first to make sure your heart can take it).

I feel cheated for sticking to the rules. 90% (exaggerated) of the suggestions here aren't classic rock.
OP, start a new thread with a less specific title.

Well fuck, take Pink Floyd out of that list then, because a lot of their hits are in the 80's and even 90's.
