Let's say you are setting up a two disk raid array. Say Raid 0, 1, or 0+1 with PATA drives.
So you have the drives connected to Primary IDE Master and Secondary IDE Master. What about the slaves of those two channels? Can you connect hard drives up to them as well, but not RAID them?
IDE0, Master - WD80GB, RAID
IDE0, Slave - Maxtor 120GB
IDE1, Master - WD80GB, RAID
IDE1, Slave - Seagate 160GB
What about SATA? Do raided disks have to be in sequential connections?
Could you run:
SATA1 - WD80GB, RAID
SATA2 - Maxtor 120GB
SATA3 - Maxtor 200GB
SATA4 - WD80GB, RAID?
