I got a big bottle of what they sell at Costco. Should last me a year or two. I pour some off into a 6 oz bottle.
Haven't drunk any whiskey in over 6 months I figure, when I do it's maybe a 1/2 jigger of good sipping whiskey. But last night I poured maybe a jigger into a hot skillet in which I'd fried a steak. Swished around with a silicone spatula and poured over the steak on a plate. Recipe I encountered decades ago.On the subject of better and less expensive drinks ... Luxardo is cheaper than Disaronno and WAY WAY WAY better.
That said, I mostly avoid liquers now and stick to Whiskey since im more focused on the carb/glucose budget than the dollars of money budget.
Totally, but I have gone without coffee for many days, probably weeks and it didn't affect me physically or emotionally. However, I do drink it daily. Alcohol has never been a problem for me. Occasionally I get on a daily thing with it, about 3 ounces of cabernet with dinner, but it's been months since I have done that. Now, I do that maybe 1-2 days a week averaging it out. Quite often I wind up not drinking that glass (no struggle, I just forget) and pour it back in the bottle.I think 90 days is doable. I wasn’t really a “drinker” prior to Covid, but have been enjoying a shot of vodka on a near daily basis. I did January as a dry month, now doing June the same. It’s good to take a step back and make sure that it’s not controlling life / behavior
coffee OTOH would be a much more difficult habit to break for me
I like dark beer and red wine in particular however I could go 100 days without drinking without even thinking about it.... in fact its been weeks since I had a drink now.
You should celebrate by having a drink!
