Can you go without drinking alcohol for 100 days?

I often do. I only seem to drink around holidays or in the summer. Weird since I love bourbon and can make great mixed drinks.

100 days is possible, but, undesired. I've gone around 20 days since my last drink as I was sick and then on antibiotics. I likely will have some whisky or some wine this weekend. Otherwise, closest thing I had was whining.

I often don't drink at all for weeks at a time and don't even think about it .... then I'll go weeks drinking roughly a 6-pack of beer a week. Have not been drunk since the early 2000's however.

Thank goodness alcohol isn't an issue physically for me.

Problem is that it's as physically addictive as heroin for some folks and for sale on every corner as well. (plus its far more socially acceptable than hard drugs)

I remember showing up to college and going to a party the first night I was there. Someone tossed me a beer....when we ran out, we went down to the local gas station to get more. The guy introduced me to the lady that owned the gas station.....she had polaroid pictures of all the college kids there all over the wall. She ended up taking my picture and that was my ID for the next 2 years to buy beer without a state ID. I actually went in some time later and found the polaroid....took it down off the wall and have it in a shoebox somewhere. Things were great back then. Funny because even when I was younger, I didn't abuse alcohol often. My body told me when to stop drinking and I often would take days or sometimes a week or so off.

When I turned 21, I went to a furniture store and bought an oak bar....then went on eBay to buy some neon beer signs. We had parties in my apartment that overlooked the city....it was a blast because I would always mix drinks and didn't have to worry about driving. It was worth the thousands of bucks I spent just to know I was in a safe place.

I probably get drunk once every few years now? I'm just too schooled in things and know when to stop. I can drink a bottle of wine by myself and won't be drunk....but will be thirsty, have a headache, and hate myself the next day.

Roughly 17,155 and counting.

11000-some days here

my dad's cousins snuck me some beer when i was a little kid

hated the sip i took and never wanted any more after that

i am tempted to give it a try again since my tastes have changed, but with the meds i take i don't think my body would handle it very well

I had stopped 2 years ago after my Dr. said I should stay away from it when I had AFIB.

I enjoy drinking socially though.

I pretty much do sometimes and don't give it a thought. I'm so casual with alcohol it isn't funny. Can take it or leave it. I never ever crave it. I have lots around the house, go weeks sometimes without touching any. I sipped a thimble full of Irish Cream last night. That was my alcohol for the day.

these questions always sneakily imply "are you an alcoholic". I can't go 100 days without missing something, doesn't have to be alcohol. 100 days without kipper fillets? No way. 100 days without ice cream? Are you crazy?
It really don't matter what it is, if it's normal consumption, i would miss it if i hadn't had it for 100 days.

Try 100 days without coffee. See how well you do. Now THAT is a drug that has a serious craving.

no but seriously, i can think of many things worse. 100 days without toilet paper. 100 days without shoes. 100 days bathing. Turns out i'm hopelessly addicted to cleaning by butt.

I thought you fancy European guys used bidets? What's all this "toilet paper" talk?

I want to say "only REAL europeans" but for some reason i feel the need to explain that bidets do not remove the need for toilet paper, as i am worried you imagine us bidet-users manually digging chunks out of our buttholes. It don't work like that.
The bidet is the finishing touch. The buff. The shine.

So it's like when you're rinsing the dishes with a sprayer. You know that if you set down the sprayer and just wiped the dish with the cloth that the stuff would come off instantly but it's more fun to keep spraying?

You have 146 trophies? 😱
That I do.

I probably have many times, but I don't keep track. My thing lately is a shot or so of Ryan's at night. Helps clear my throat and let me sleep better.

I had to throw away the two beers in my fridge, they were well past two years old. So over two years ago is the last time I a had a beer. I'm sure I have something within the next year or two.
