Now what if the person is bigger than you. Let's say someone is 5'6" and 150lbs and someone who's like 6' 220lbs comes charging after you? Can you shoot them? Can't you just pull the gun out and say "back off buddy"

i'm a small guy so im not gonna pick a fight with someone bigger than me. if someone comes at me and he's way bigger than i am, then i might have to pull a gun. now this is assuming i'm backed into a corner. if i could leave and avoid the confrontation i would.

That's not longer true in Florida. They passed some "macho huge balls" law where you're under no obligation to back away, or try to talk your way out of a confrontation.

Yeah, most Soddy Daisy cops have a general rule: if it's 35 mph, then +10...45 mph, 15+ (which is actually reckless)...But is there a general rule?

AFAIK, the law says that the give is 5mph, due to the inaccuracy of speedometers and radar guns.

I really can't speak for other agencies. Some have stricter practices than others.

There is no "give" according to the law. The speed limit is the limit and that's that. How strictly they're enforced is a different matter.

OFFICIALLY the speed posted is the maximum speed. if cops pull you over because their speedgun is +1mph off then you might want to fight the ticket. UNOFICIALLY cops discretion.
