Can **YOU** Beat these SAT/ACT/AP Test Scores???

Anyone could beat those scores if they studied like she did. I'd say congrats on that, but really it's not that hard if you are just willing to study.

Obviously not esun.

She says her secret is keeping the TV turned off and ditching school dances. And studying. Lots of studying -- while instant-messaging friends and listening to Chinese pop music.

she sounds like a lot of fun

I had a Korean friend who's brother was #1 ranked student at UCLA undergrad and went on to UCSF for Med School (also had perfect grades there). His parents were were both Phd's who were #1 ranked at Korea's top University.

The brother was basically almost "dishonored" for only getting B's at Berkeley. There was a major rift in the family for not trying hard enough. What BS.

Talk about Asian "pressure" to excel.

.............I've also read about Asians who have committed suicide for getting lower than perfect grades at university.

Pointless waste of time, IMO.
Yeah...I knew some people like that in my HS, they might have a 4.0 GPA, but I whooped their asses on SAT and ACT scores (not that it means anything).

She has a great work ethic I guess. Sounds like she'll get into any place she wants, hopefully she does something good with her intelligence 🙂 I scored perfect on the SAT my second time taking it and I didn't bother studying for it. Of course I always thought studying for a standardized test defeats the purpose of taking it in the first place.

Ahhaah that's awesome.

Poor girl, I never could have studied that much.

She says her secret is keeping the TV turned off and ditching school dances. And studying. Lots of studying -- while instant-messaging friends and listening to Chinese pop music. In fact, she studies so late that Tracy is known to doze off in class.

Last I checked, teachers don't like that. I dunno, when you study so much that it interferes with school, it's too much.
