hey guys one update

i´ve swapped the whole kit with my brother ( he has a am5 , r5 7600 and 32 ram same kit)

after swapping the whole computer , as well as new display cables , it still randomly hangs in the vga light

used my samsung tv bu8000( new hdmi cable ) , lg ultragear 144hz ( new dp cable , no adapters )

still used the same line filter , mouse , keyboard and headset

so what do you guys think it could be ? also removed all kind of splitters , rgb etc

thanks

So you swapped everything and you still have problems? Does the original stuff have problems when your brother runs it?

it hasn´t show any symptom on his build yet but maybe it needs more time to appear

it is not the gpu for sure

the only things i haven´t replaced are : tv , monitor , g305 mouse , hs65 surround headset and the redragon keyboard

i´ve typed in the motherboard bios to check if it is boot from a usb device but i could not find it

is the boot from usb device a specific option maybe ?

but anyway , currently at a loss , don´t know what else to try

thanks

unless my tv or the monitor is the problem but they both work well

Try this:
ok i´ve removed everything by now ( only monitor and mouse and keyboard )

i´ve came across a csm and legacy usb support in bios

does this have to do with the problem ? is there a limit with usb devices that i can use in the motherboard ?

it was 3 before (now 2 with only mouse and keyboard )

will use like this for a month to see but i´m almost sure it is the headset ( nothing else left i guess )

thanks

Random thought: are you turning any monitors/TVs on during the boot process or plugging in USB devices at that time? Having them already on/off or plugged it at boot should be fine though. I feel like I've seen issues in the past when doing the aforementioned things.

But the basic steps are to start at the bare minimum and build up until you've identified the source, not just constantly jumbling parts around.

But the fact that you have this issue with multiple systems seems to suggest something else could be going on. Start with only one monitor, a mouse, and a keyboard. Have the monitor powered on before you boot the computer; don't plug USB devices in during the booting process (having them from the start is fine).

----
A modern system should really not be needing the legacy CSM mode enabled.

sometimes i turn on the pc then the monitor ( and vice versa)

but i´m not plugging anything during the process ( not plugging any display cable or usb device )

i ran my tv on a line filter and swapped the hdmi cable

also run the monitor and the pc on another line filter ( i have 2 of the same line filter , iclamper 5 )

swapped the dp cable of the monitor and it persisted

the only things i´ve did not replace are the mouse , keyboard , headset and line filter

it is not a motherboard thing because the behavior has repeated in 3 different mobos

this is why i think it could be the line filter or the headset ( but it doesn´t make sense since when the pc boots , it works flawlessly)

i have to say also , can rgb from the cpu cooler causes this as well ? i´m thinking it could be the line filter and usb devices but still not sure

i´ve been using monitor , mouse and keyboard only to test and report back as well

but i´m wondering , can this vga light crash damage the pc ? or maybe my line filter is supplying dirty power since it crashes ?

thanks
