I can call my dad if you like.. He's a pharmasist with Walgreens

cool, can u ask him if its ok to sell recalled meds?

What are you smoking ? why would a pharmacy or a pharmacist risk selling recalled medicine ?
If you bring it back they'll get rid of it.
They won't try to resell it.

If you notice, that medication was not recalled, certain lots of it were. Call the pharmacy and ask the lot number of the medication dispensed.

they only recalled certain lot#'s, they almost certainly did NOT sell you recalled product, recalls are handled very seriously

The chance you got the wrong med on a controlled substance is nil. Most likely you are reacting differently for a variety of reasons.

You cannot return a medication. It is a violation of federal law.
It is? Last year, I got a prescription for vicodin after some dental work. I took the prescription to the pharmacy at an extremely large nationwide grocery store chain, dropped it off, and then picked it up that evening. I get home and find out that I have some lady's heart medication. Naturally, I called up the pharmacy, who instructed me to return it right away, and picked up the correct prescription.

Hmm... no wonder they were so scared and hush-hush about it and even refunded my money back...

No you don't. Just tell them you aren't feeling any effects and you think it's a recalled lot. Just take it there rather than calling. More than likely the clerk will call a supervisor and get the lowdown. Bring the printout with you, by the way.

Good idea. Just tell the pharmacist of your concern. If they think there is a possibility of error, they will want to check it out.

Vic- I was thinking of liquid controlled substances. Not many are out there, and the chance of selecting one in error is very slight. I edited my post and gave ya extra credit :D

I think codeine is fairly addictive. I'd recommend NyQuil. I'm not recommending this for anyone but myself but normally a Nyquil and a beer or two will make me sleep like a baby when I have bronchitis
