If it came in a retail box, and he has the packaging, it can be RMA'd. Otherwise, it cannot.

RMA's are for failures due to AMD's material or workmanship.

My table was rattling since one of its four legs was always floating, so I placed an Athlon XP under it. When I got on the table with someone to make out, the XP broke from our weight. Can I RMA it ? :D :D

it just stopped working on him a few weeks ago. the mobo's fine, just this thing decided to quit.

i don't know if there was retail packaging or not; one of the things i'm trying to find out here... i should have been more accurate in my post and said that it failed on him as opposed to him killing it. i wonder if i can RMA a baseball bat after i crack it over JerBoy's head? ;) hehe
