i kinda need to know for a project. i cant even find out how much a pound of apples costs so i could do some effing math.

"Organic" or regular? Gala, Honeycrisp, Red Delicious, Yellow Delicious, or Granny Smith? From the local chain grocery store or from a farmer's market? How big of an apple? Apples are sold by weight, not per apple so two apples may have different prices.

There are a surprising number of variables in this simple question.

I've recently seen the cheap-ass "schoolboy" red delicious apples for 69 cents/lb and Fuji's for $1.49/lb. Actual price per apple depends on the size of the individual apple...duh...but figure 2-3 per lb for small-medium apples.

OR, the OP could just get off his ass and go buy ONE apple at the grocery store for ACCURATE research.

Again.... who makes it?
I think I last bought white rice for a little under a dollar per lb. And that was the cheap brand.
