no it is not easy to tell when your own legs land on the floor if you are moving fast enough...

the call was not for the move he made, but the three steps he took after he initiated his drive.

once he picked up his dribble, he obviously took three steps. three steps = travel in any ref's book.

lolwut?

lebron does not have a ring nor will he as long as he's on the cavs.

Actually, he could have it on the Cavs, if they hadn't surrounded him by crap. He needs to quite trying to do everything by himself and realize that he truly has to trust his team. If some of these "All Stars" would take paycuts so that the teams can bring in another top level talent or roleplayer, then their chances would go up significantly. Very few people seem to truly care about winning championships anymore, and more about their paydays.

This....
Probably the only team in pro sports that has really done that is a couple hours up the road from the cavs and playing a different sport....

well yea, you just explained why he will never win a ring on the cavs. half of his teammates are fans and spectators of him and watch him play the game while on the court, not helping him win the game. it seems to be a two way street, that both him and his teammates realize this.

Actually, there are two functional teams in the NBA that give a shit about the championship, the Celtics and the Spurs. The Celtics went out and basically purchased all their players minus Pierce. The Spurs went out and made good picks that have turned around for them, and thus FA Vets want to sign for a legit chance to win a championship. I don't see the Lakers winning in the Finals even if they make it, I really don't think they have the bench for a 7 game series.

I would agree with that in the NBA... Was referring to the red wings :)

What? The Lakers have probably the best bench in the NBA. Their bench scores more than Cavs, Celtics, Magic or Spurs bench, and is also top 3 in rebounding, assists, and steals in bench stats. The Celtics bench is horrible this year, and was the main reason they lost to the Lakers on Christmas day.

Where are you pulling your stats from? Because the reason the Lakers won on Christmas was easily Pau Gasol.

Down the stretch Pau was the reason they won, but for the first 45 minutes he played like crap. The Boston starters and Lakers starters played pretty much even, but it was the Laker bench during the first half that got them the halftime lead. Lamar Odom, and Sasha Vujacic were big keys in that game.

edit: The key stats from that page is the amount of minutes the Laker starters play compared to stay Cleveland and Boston, and the +/- of the benchs.

I originally read this as "crap dribble" and (toilet) rim.

Lakers bench is pretty damn good.
Odom, Ariza, Radmonovich, Vujacic, Farmar (inj), Mbenga, Chris Mihm, Josh Powell etc.
The 1st three could be starters - especially Odom (kinda playing that Ginobili role). Ariza is starting now since Walton is injured.
You could probably pick 5 players from their bench that's better than some starting 5s in the league.

The Celtics have Tony Allen, Leon Powe, Glen Davis, Eddie House, and Scalabrine - also very good.
Tony Allen could probably start on some teams. He plays good defense and is a pure scorer.

Marbury would be a big boost to the bench.

SA is a lot lower than either one. Their +/- and stats are going to be jacked up though because of the amount of time Parker and Ginobili were out, I wish you could set the # of games for the stats to see what the changes are. Out of the Lakers bench, the only starter I personally see is Bynum and Farmar - the others are good role players. I'm just hoping the Magic win the East this year >=) The amount of playing time for their starters is crazy.

The Celtics bench was much better last year though with James Posey, PJ Brown and Sam Cassell actually playing.

Anyway, back to the subject at hand, Lebron traveled.

As he frequently does, he's just mad it got called.

Bynum is a starter already. Vlad Radman was a starter earlier this season. Also, Odom is a starter on most teams in the NBA. Also, you're right about the Spurs stats being jacked because of the games the starters missed. I'm comparing the Lakers to the Celtics, Cavs and Magic mainly.

Why? Because Lebron James got called and doesn't think he traveled and politely explained why he doesn't think he traveled?

It was a travel... big fucking deal.

Like any of your favorite teams players have never traveled and then bitched at the refs when it was called.
