Can it be the LAST? Ever? And for evermore?

I despise Spam in all forms.

We brought your complaints to the author, who graciously responded, ""Also, will unsubscribe anyone who lets me know you don't want to receive that weekly review message."

So, LET HIM KNOW!

As someone pointed out in another thread, and I didn't even catch it, the "News" PM was calling Jim Keller the CEO of Intel. LOL. Wishful thinking, perhaps.

I mean, maybe if it were remotely useful information, MAYBE, but still. Pretty, kind of unwanted behavior.

Maybe if they sent them via e-mail, rather than PM, I would be more accommodating?

PMs should be for more important, pressing matters that require more immediate attention. Not for SPAM.

Why couldn't they just put this as a banner notification above the forums-list page, and let us CHOOSE to click on it, and take us to a thread with that info? That would be borderline acceptable.

exactly!! But with that said this kind of Spam is not to bad --

giant Spam gif removed. This isn't OT.

This. Just Post it on the Forums page. Achieves the same result without everyone getting nervous about why they are Banned this time....

Hey, folks. Thank you for your thoughts on the Weekly Review. I'll be adding the users who express similar concerns on this thread to an 'Unsubscribed' list, making sure to check back on this thread + replies to DMs for any other names to add to the list. Apologies for any headache caused!

So you wouldn't mind if we all spammed you in return as long as we stop once you ask us to? Seems like a convoluted way of doing things, no? It would be better if you did it the responsible way and let people opt IN to whatever you want to broadcast instead of subscribing us against our will and forcing us to opt out.

Thank you for unsubscribing me. A polite, unsolicited suggestion might be to not use the PM system for this, but rather a banner or a sticky thread. You will be creating a lot more work for yourself by having to constantly unsubscribe people from it, and it will be continuous work because people will decide they don't want this at different time intervals.

By all means, unsubscribe me from your unsolicited spam list...thank you, thank you very much.
