I ordered stuff for Christmas on Monday. It still hasn't shipped and they're giving me an estimated delivery date of Dec 20 - 23. Fingers are crossed.

What shipping method did you use?

Free Shipping with the before Xmas Guarantee. One item out of the seven shipped and is supposed to be delivered on the 22nd. But yeah, the other stuff hasn't shipped yet and I can't cancel or change the order.

haven't ordered from Newegg in awhile, but ordering multiple items (usually dvds and/or books) from Amazon w/super saver shipping = 3-5 days delivery usually.

ymmv.

Ipod ordered on Friday, arrived Monday. Prime surprises me sometimes.

I ordered for Black Friday, and stuff came Monday.

My S95 and a few other accessories were ordered yesterday. Delivery says Tuesday, but I'm hoping they surprise me again. Prime shipping at 1 day speed is amazing, but nothing wrong with the 2 day stuff either. I would kill to get stuff tomorrow. That would absolutely be amazing so I could take my new camera out to the club. Otherwise I need to rely on my crappy washing machined Canon SD600.

I do like Amazon's guarantees. I've seen too many Prime shipments of mine not shipped til the last day. Then they do some 10am early delivery too. It's really cool. And the Christmas eve guarantee? I've seen standard shipments get shipped 2 day or next day simply because they couldn't move it out of the warehouse til then.

Everything I've ordered since Nov 26th from then has arrived 1-2 days past their "estimated arrival". You're screwed.

Most of the stuff I've ordered in the past week arrived a day earlier than what the original tracking said. Check it again Sunday night or Monday morning.

That's encouraging.

I originally on leaving the 23rd anyway, but I was changing my plans to the 22nd to give me an extra day. Oh well. We'll see what happens.

Check the tracking # through UPS's site once it's been scanned in (if they don't have it already). Sometimes the estimated delivery on Amazon's tracking page might be a day later than the actual date which UPS's site will show.

The Amazon site still says Dec 21, but all three UPS tracking numbers I got have an estimated arrival of Dec 22.

A bit of an update. One item arrived today (a day early). The other item is already in Austin so I assume it will arrive tomorrow (on time). The other item left dallas this afternoon, so I assume it will also arrive tomorrow.

All is well. :)

I pre-ordered a book that had the schedule delivery date delayed twice by UPS. Amazon gave me a courtesy credit and a replacement that came by Fedex Priority Overnight 12PM with Saturday delivery.

Amazon shipping with Prime has been outstanding this christmas season. The only things I haven't gotten within two days are things that were out of stock...and those will be here before Christmas.

As above, but make SURE you order from AMAZON.

There are a lot of people who sell stuff on amazon that are not amazon; I ordered all of my Christmas shopping from Amazon.com two years ago in late november. I got everything from Amazon themselves on time, I received many packages in January from other vendors welling on the Amazon website.

I ordered a Kodak Zx3 from Amazon at 4pm on Saturday. It was at my doorstep by 10:30 am Monday. I had some more odds and ends shipped overnight (woot free 1 day) on the 21st, and they're probably going to be out for delivery later today.

So far, I've only had one item ever be late from a 2-day or 1-day prime shipment. In that case, I went out and bought the item at Costco for the price I paid on Amazon, and simply returned the Amazon item at their expense once it did arrive.

Of course, if they ship by FedEx to this area, all bets are off. Shipping with FedEx in my area is like gambling with the Mafia. Likewise, I just had NewEgg ship out a memory card via DHL, so that's akin to stealing from the Mafia and hoping you don't get concrete shoes.

Ok, so yea, I have NO idea how that analogy came about.
