Can I share a printer by using both usb/parallel connections at the same time?

My employer has his printer at home set up like that..Couldn't tell you what printer it is though. If nothing else, Give it a try. Worse that could happen is that it doesn't work.

At our physics lab, the teacher said he didn't have permission to network share the printers, so I helped him set up a few printers using both parallel and USB. Works fine, except I still think networking is cooler.

My wife is using an Epson 740 at work that is shared via a paralled port to a parallel switch with 4 Win 95 machines and via usb to her mac.

At home I'm running an Epson 740 setup via a network adapter with XP machines and via usb to her mac.

Simple answer, it all depends on the printer, but generally yes this will work.
