Can I share a printer by using both usb/parallel connections at the same time?

if i plug the usb connection into another pc, can we both print on the printer? HP6122

My employer has his printer at home set up like that..Couldn't tell you what printer it is though. If nothing else, Give it a try. Worse that could happen is that it doesn't work.

At our physics lab, the teacher said he didn't have permission to network share the printers, so I helped him set up a few printers using both parallel and USB. Works fine, except I still think networking is cooler.

My wife is using an Epson 740 at work that is shared via a paralled port to a parallel switch with 4 Win 95 machines and via usb to her mac.

At home I'm running an Epson 740 setup via a network adapter with XP machines and via usb to her mac.



Simple answer, it all depends on the printer, but generally yes this will work.
