Can Guys go out alone ?? Would you ?

If you moved to a new city, and you didn't have an opportunity to meet the women at work, plus you don't know ANYONE who lives in this new city....would you venture out alone to meet girls ?? I am unfortunately in this situation and it SUX !!! I am kinda embarrased to go out to bars alone. What should I do ?

I would see that as the best way to meet women! When you are out with the guys, you have to conform to the group mentality... when out by yourself, you can be yourself.

I work in the IT dept. I have a small handful of fellow employees. They are all married men who don't even go out for happy-hour drinks.

Get a dog, take it for walks, especially at dog parks if they have them.

Depends on my mood. I usually am one of the guys at the pool table. If I'm interested in a woman, I'll just drop a few looks and wait for them. I hate doing the chasing. If they're not interested then they'll stay away and leave me to my game

Go to church on Sunday. There are always tons of women there just waiting to pounce on a single guy. Just because they go to church doesn't mean they aren't wild the rest of the time. I've been married many years now and that's how I met up with my wife, after sampling the other wares first, of course.

Any suggestions on how to pick the right bar ? Trial and error I assume. I am in Memphis, TN and there are a TON of bars.

i tend to stay away from the 'college' bars myself, hmmm maybe that is the problem, but anyway, go to a bar where you are the most attractive dude there. If i can find a bar like that, chances are you can.

but seriously, depends on what you like. I like conversation more, so i tend to head to Irish pubs. Some people like dancing more, so they hit up a club/bar. Some people, like Beau, are more into just hanging out playing pool or something. depends on what you are looking for.
