We know too much about each other and we are too involved in each others families for things to work out really. Not to mention we have a somewhat odd friendship.
"fuck you Katie"
"suck my cock Michael"
Is a fairly normal exchange between us. I feel in a genuine relationship we would piss each other off so fucking much.

Wow. I guess mnewsham's existence has shattered the entire rule.

In that case, never mind.

When you grow up together often there is no attraction, so if you are a guy and your neighbor is a girl and you guys were friends growing up in close proximity there is usually 0 attraction. This applies to some people with long-standing girl/guy friendships where they are also family friends. I wouldn't go out with a longtime friend of the family either lol, that is a no-brainer.

What about just meeting someone and becoming friends.

doesn't make sense, you'd literally have to be raised together as a family before that applies, else the whole "girl next door" thing wouldn't exist.

Your question is irrelevant because I am married.

MotionMan

Nope, my rule applies to married people aswell. Married people can be friends with people of the opposite sex without any kind of sexual interest on either persons part, if the man doesn't think with his cock. Don't you agree?

If he is married, then he should not be thinking with his cock, and thus he should be able to have female friends.

The girl next door thing would happen if they came in to your life after age 8-10. If you grow up literally with the person, your parents are friends and you always played together as infants and toddlers, were in the same class etc. You most likely will see them as a sister figure instead of a potential mate.

So there we go, we both agree, that if you're not thinking with your cock, even if you're straight, you can have female friends with no sexual issues.

Should not? Sure.
Is not? Doubtful.

So there we go, we both agree, that if you're not thinking with your cock, even if you're straight, you can have female friends with no sexual issues.

And we agree that most men who do not think with their cock when it comes to women are otherwise engaged, gay or asexual.

Sorry, I just re-read it. when I said "is not, doubt full" I thought we were referring to you.

We agree that straight men are capable of not thinking with their cocks, and are therefore capable of having female friends. Sorted.

None of this is about me. The rule does not apply to me.

Straight men may be capable of not thinking with their cock, but most do.

Yes it does, I specifically said it applies to married men.

Straight men may be capable of not thinking with their cock, but most do.

That breaks your rule, just because most men (in your opinion) think with their cocks doesn't stop them from being able to have female friends, which your rule prohibits unless they are gay asexual or otherwise engaged. But now you say they are capable of having friends.

HAL wins.

HAL out.
