Can anyone identify what this mark is? Eczema?

For the past few weeks, my girlfriend has had this mark on her leg, just near the back of the knee on the calf muscle. She's tried various ointments with no luck. It does itch from what she tells me, but it hasn't spread anywhere else on her body. We're thinking it's eczema, but wanted some other opinions. She'd go to the doctor, but doesn't have a primary care physician local to her. Thanks for the help.

thats what i thought as well, but my son had a similar one on his lower leg one time that turned out to be a spider bite. took forever to go away. cant remember what spider it was from tho, it was a few years ago.
