Can any of you sing WELL?

Nocturnal

Like as in you'd be able to at least do a talent show and not get boo'd off stage?

If so, were you born with this talent? Was it learned?

Can one who seems to not be able to keep a tone learn to keep a tone and sound at least decent?

I had perfect pitch in HS. I haven't been singing as much as I used to so it's long gone. I'm sure I can get it back if I start playing piano and singing again. 🙂

Yes I can sing very well. I was born with the talent and improved it through practice. Vibrato is a hard thing to master.

I love to sing, and I used to sing a lot at work once the dining room closed down. Everyone always said that I have a pretty good mid range voice, but if my voice breaks early when it starts to get high, and when it's low I'm barely audible. Someone suggested that I take voice lessons to fix that, then try and do something with it, but I don't care. I sing because I enjoy it, not because I'm good at it.

All in all, I can sing WELL... but not fantastic.

My singing voice can kill animals and small children within a 20ft radius.

do you ride a motorcycle and wear fishnet stockings fighting crime with your intense voice skillz?!

yeah I can sing a bit. My whole family has a very full range and generally good tone...except my dad. My youngest sister is the singer in the family while us siblings concetrated on musical instruments, but you should hear my rocker scream....are you READY TO ROCKKKKKKKKK!!!! 😀

if you want to, yes, you can learn to sing. you can learn pitch and you can learn to project.

singing is just as much developed as it is genetics.

Agreed. It doesn't hurt to have some natural talent, but anyone who wants to can learn to sing within their range.

I have actually taken some vocal training lessons and found that I have quite a range, too.

how much is quite a range??

most of my life i've sung baritone and bass for choirs quartets and such, but recently i've been working on the higher parts of my range, turns out i'm a natural tenor with big resonance.

now i can sing any of the four parts for a quartet.
