she may be spendy and demanding, but she is also genuinely caring. I can spot a gold digger who pretend she caring but my g/f is not one of those. I kinda ignored the marriage thing and hope her mom won't bring it up again.

You simply don't know her that well 1 year into it. Didn't you say she was forcing you to buy a house?
