Too bad we can't just grow up, those that refuse to that is.
The scary part, many hold positions of power in government and business.
Can America survive the stupid policy?

China is advancing in the space program with launching a moon orbiter.
Modern countries have better healthcare that we do. And can ever hope to.
All the while, America is the richest nation and most powerful but that is no guarantee it will last.
We seem to be sitting on the sidelines while China, Japan, and Russia are certainly not.

All while in America, the trend is to squeeze the middle class into submission, restrict voting rights, gerrymander districts to ensure misrepresentation, guns guns guns everything guns, progress backwards in denial when it comes to addressing climate change, energy, minority rights, women rights, equality, clean environment, our failing addressing infrastructure, and our practice of continually voting for the craziest looniest politicians out there.

We missed all the signs.
The signs of an impending 9/11, the signs of Ebola entering the country, and a guy running inside the Whitehouse front door.
Just to name a few of the more current news events.

When America is solely controlled and ran by business and the Mitt Romney's, and we look around to find other countries with high speed railway, energy dependency, sound national security, common sense laws and protections, I wonder about that day when we will see ourselves as some third world country.
Wealthy, maybe, but too stupid to handle reality and constantly tripping over our own feet.

And potholes that could eat a truck.

And still our only achievement?
Electing the stupidest politicians available to office.
Stay tuned.

So far everyone is making my point.
Thanks.
And as far as elections go, nothing promising on the horizon.
I expect 2016 will be a rerun of 2012.
At least for the republicans.
Loonies abound.

I agree. How dare we elect a Black person to the presidency!!

It is sad that the Republicans did not have a qualified candidate to run against Obama!

Seriously, at what point can someone criticize the guy without somone playing the race card?

so sportage is also a racist, because he made the claim that we elected the stupidest people into office?

since Obama is both running the country, and was elected to office, so the stupidest person is running the country?

I use logic, you race bait.

The strongest example of general American stupidity I've seen recently is the hysteria over Ebola with 2-3 people in the US contracting it, and then others pulling their kids out of schools, etc. It's amazing people with such a poor grasp of what's going on can even clothe and feed themselves. Unfortunately they also vote.

Whatever happened to "The buck stops here"?
That would be at the presidential level.
Only this executive would say:"It's Bush's fault" or "I just saw it on the news"
Perhaps because he was playing golf or hanging out with the Muslim Brotherhood all up
in the White House for 3 days instead of attending daily briefings.
Or scheming to release 4 terrorist leaders from Guantanamo in exchange for a traitor.
The political system is broken and not functioning as intended.
The current chief executive has fully exploited that.
As has 95% of Congress.
and probably 98% of the Senate.
Make Lobbying illegal. That would fix it.
PS: Do not think for a minute that the guy at the top is stupid or inept.
He does everything he does intentionally to harm this country.
He is very intelligent.

Probably not, the stupid breed without reservation and without the resources to raise their children properly and then turn to idiot liberals who are all too happy to hand them everything using other people's resources to buy their own power....nope...we're fucked!!

The OP would still vote for Obama if he were allowed to run for a third term. He should take a good look in the mirror and engage in some healthy introspection.

thats a huge problem for america in my opinion...a class of people who only know how to demand free stuff and hold their hands out the the gov't. America a very rich country but how long can this class of people be maintained on welfare and EBT?

it is either the fault of Bush or any of his predecessors. Easiest thing to do in the world is blame someone else....no responsibility is needed.

It makes sense, he blamed Perry for the hospital initially sending the ebola patient home with antibiotics and fever reducing medicine. He convinced me to vote for Abbott to ensure Perry would be out of office come January.

He didn't say shit about the guy's color. I find it funny that is the first thing you jump to. It really says a lot on how you really think about him.

Stupidity? More like stupid with fear.

The root cause of most of our problems is fear - plain and simple. And, that side of the spectrum is on it's way out; because people are tired of living in fear,.. specifically false fear.

Ebola isn't pouring into the US from the American Southern border. A suggested s'more ingredient is not a sign of a totalitarian fascist government who is oppressing and harming it's citizens. Islam is not going to murder and kill all of us.

Most of the "logic" from the defective minds in this country doesn't hold up, its loaded with contradictions and, yes, stupidity - all sparked from fear and mostly false.

That sounds like the republican party platform to me. All they have is contradictions, lies, and fear itself.
Perpetuated by the "liberal" media like Fox.

When the criticism is based on reality.

And logic.

How can Obama be responsible for ISIS getting their hands on a botched weapons drop, but not receive ANY credit for the assassination of Osama Bin Laden?

Is Obama held responsible for what happens on a battlefield - yes or no?

Most "criticism" is based on:
- does it make Obama look bad? OK, we use it against him.
- does it make Obama look good? OK, then it does not apply to him.

Make lobbying illegal? First step would be to vote all Republicans out of office so Democrats can work on reversing the ruling that money = free speech. I'm sure you'll get right on that.

No

China is advancing in the space program with launching a moon orbiter.

While we focus on social services. China is funding its space program. I suggest we divert all funds from social services to NASA ASAP.

Modern countries have better healthcare that we do. And can ever hope to.
All the while, America is the richest nation and most powerful but that is no guarantee it will last.
We seem to be sitting on the sidelines while China, Japan, and Russia are certainly not.

There is a reason why we are the richest nation and most powerful. It's because we had a free enterprise (which is disappearing).

Now here we see your agenda. You aren't interested in America. You are interested in your liberal utopia. See how America was founded, how it built itself up, and why it was successful. What you state above is none of it.

We missed all the signs.
The signs of an impending 9/11, the signs of Ebola entering the country, and a guy running inside the Whitehouse front door.

Wealthy, maybe, but too stupid to handle reality and constantly tripping over our own feet.

Again, here is your stupidity showing. We are successful as a country because we have businesses. Not because of your stupid liberal utopia. If we want to maintain our country, we have to have businesses. How could life ever sustain itself without businesses? High speed rail on your list. Lol. Look at the size of Germany, and compare it to the size of the USA. Do you see a difference? What I'd like to see is high speed rail for FREIGHT so we can get our damn 18 wheelers off the freeways which average 8 MPG. Do you support that?

And potholes that could eat a truck.

And still our only achievement?
Electing the stupidest politicians available to office.

Right. So stop voting D and elect an I or L. Disgruntled R's have already started shifting that way.
