My girl friend is very religious. So do you think a relationship can survive without sex?

Edit: I should rewrite my question to: do you think sex is the #1 ingredient in a good relationship?

yes it can to a level... then you have to decide if you're going to move forward - she probably wont have sex until marriage. If you are good with that then SURE it can work. If not, you might wanna leave instead of trying to force the situation.
 
if it is a platonic relationship... well, if shes not looking for sex in a relationship [for right now at least], and you are, you can figure this out

Don't worry about sex. If the relationship is good, sex won't change things much -- except you'll be getting less sleep.
 
Even 2 birds makes a very sqeaky noise in the morning, proof that it's a natural thing as much as eating, drinking and sleeping.
most divorce if not all is a result of sexual dissatisfaction. no sex, no love, anymore question?

umm actually it will change a lot of things. whether it's good, bad, average or absent it always has bearing on the relationship.

yes a relationship can survive without sex but under certain circumstances. for example if shes a virgin and is waiting till marriage etc.

Wow dont listen to this guy. He hasnt done ANY research into the subject or he wouldnt have stated this. Finances are the leading cause of divorce and there are a lot of reasons for divorce before sexual dissatisfaction. I would bet it is on the lower end of the scale.

I'm only guessing because I've never had sex, but the first time is ALWAYS going to be "plagued by thoughts of nervousness and inexperience." Why not share that with somebody who has promised to stay with you until death? If your relationship can't stand a bit of awkward sex in the beginning, then what are you doing in it?

BTW geek4life, I honestly think you should do your girlfriend a favor and break up with her. If you disagree on religion, it will be an issue for the rest of your lives.
 
u have to wonder if she's one of these totally unsexual people and u'll be have a cold bed even after marriage.... eh she better be a stone cold fox to pull that no sex before marriage bit...
