My girl friend is very religious. So do you think a relationship can survive without sex?

That's like asking if a guy in a coma can still survive. Sure, he could, but why the fvck would he want to unless things changed up really soon?

It can be done. I think sex is important for a relationship, but a relationship shouldn't be focused around it.

I have had a few relationships that was focused around sex and there were lots of problems when we weren't in bed.

Edit: I should rewrite my question to: do you think sex is the #1 ingredient in a good relationship?

1. If you are just dating and getting to know eachother, then yes.

2. If you are married and monogamous, then no.

Sex is a key element to married relationships and to many dating relationships. When dating, it's a question of personal morals. If your morals are that out of line with eachothers, I'd suggest that both of you seriously look at the relationship. Both sides will think they are 100% correct.

Personal opinion is that dating should not include sex. Dating should include getting to know everything else about the other person. Sex will make you look past many obvious character and personal differences that will later lead to an end of the marriage.

It's not #1 but it's pretty damn important. A relationship with someone is just a bit different after you've gotten it on.

But obviously you and I are quite different. I can't stand strongly religious people.

I know what you mean man. Very religious people throws me off. I consider sex a very contributing factor in a relationship. After all, why should a religion prohibit me from doing something that is natural and our given right as humans? Having sex is being human that's all. Nothing wrong with that.

Don't let ur hormones get in the way/ruin of being with a girl you like. You might end up becoming this super pervy horny guy and she'll get disgusted by it. But at the same time don't try to corrupt her. Don't be like "C'mon!!! JUST ONCE!!! C'mon!!!!"

In my opinion, yes, but only if there's a physical reason one of the people involved can't have sex then I think a relationship can survive without it.

If there is a mental or emotional reason why a person (or both) won't have sex, then that's just going to lead to more problems.

You have to be willing to be intimate with someone both emotionally and physically in a relationship for it to work.

Not sure about what the OP posted but I can reassure you marriage don't work when your wife is shagging another guy 😉

Quoted for truth.

The trouble with this is...you might end up marrying a woman who is a total drag in the sack. Sex isn't everything...but if you find out you're not compatible in that area...I bet it would start to seem like it was everything.

Religion is just a front. If she really loves you, she'll give it up to save the relationship. Women are fragile that way.

mmmm....wrong!!! If this is really what she believes, then no matter how much she loves you/you love her you need to respect her beliefs.

You can also respect her beliefs by dumping her.
