Came to a bar alone for the first time in my life.

It's like killing a man. The moment it stops bothering you it means you need to get out of the game, or so movies tell me.

You're supposed to feel weird going to a bar alone. Don't ever let it go, tooriski.

usually they just walk in and sit down. when the bartender comes over you just ask him for a drink and he gives it to you. usually alcohol makes people feel not weird.

dammit beat me fukker
Sorry 🙂 You can have a go at going to movies alone, though, and the feelings they inspire. My rule for that is: If it's Saturday at 11:15 AM all the power to you. If it's 7:30 on a Friday night please don't let them see the tears.

I don't see whats so ad.

I hit the local bar every now and then. they have good food and i enjoy going get a beer or 2 and dinner.

Well the funny thing is, the bar is in the lobby of the building we live in( was in boston for a month only, last night tonight). Came down from the 19th floor to get take out for the wife n 2 kids. It's a the Harvard campus, the wife had to work @ the kids hospital doing radiology. Just wanted to know how others feel goin to the bar alone. Looking forward to going back to Syracuse snow lol

Does it count if one of your best friends is the bartender?

Does it count if you're out of town/out of the country on business alone and want to get out of the hotel room?

I have no issues with hitting a pub alone. Sit at the bar, get your drink on. Nothing wrong with that.

KT n Blueychan thanx for the input. I kinda liked it. Having drinks n got to know a couple who I will never see again, puts another perspective on things.

Nope. I do it all the time on business. Sometime I strike up conversations with other travelers or locals other times I'll just sit there and have a drink or two

Last time I went to a bar alone, I was approached by 3 beautiful women...who asked me if I was going to be much longer and when I was willing to give up my booth.
