Came to a bar alone for the first time in my life.

Last time I went to a bar alone, I was approached by 3 beautiful women...who asked me if I was going to be much longer and when I was willing to give up my booth.

Dammit,
This has actually happened to me one time, but I was very, very young back then...Like 16. I just said "fine" and left...Took me few years to realize the fail!
Them bitches!

This happened to me maybe 3 years ago. It was shortly after my 34th birthday. :\

It was literally the last time I went out on a Friday (or any day really) night to just hang out.

Just have a drink and lighten up. Chat with others and don't act weird like you do on the internet.

KT n Blueychan thanx for the input. I kinda liked it. Having drinks n got to know a couple who I will never see again, puts another perspective on things.

So, tell us a bit more about this threesome you were involved in. :hmm:

Smile pleasantly, gesture at the booth magnanimously, and say "Please, join me. Some champagne?"

It shouldn't matter but for someone who usually doesn't do things alone, it's perfectly natural to feel odd about it the first few go around. It wasn't until about a couple years ago that I went to see a movie alone for the first time.

Just a couple weeks ago, I went snowboarding alone. That was great and I had more fun than all the times I went with a party.

I have yet to eat dinner at a restaurant alone where food is served to you by a waiter. Maybe I should try that too. :p

I have no problem going alone. My bar serves food and has a 25 cent wing night on Mondays when you order a drink. Buy a glass of coke for $1.50 and proceed to get 20 wings of your choice as good tasing as sit inside restaurants for $5. You sure as heck can't score 20 wings for $6.50 elsewhere in town, I tell you that!

Ended up chatting with an old man who has coached quiet a few college football teams (don't ask me the name cuz I was drunk). got some good tips about what age to get my kids into the sport they will excel at.

I like going to a bar every now and then by myself to chat up some people I don't know. That's what makes life interesting. And if I'm on the prowl for a woman, being alone can't be beat for me, hate cock blockers. Most people feel awkward when they are alone, specially the young ones who are on their Ipads, phones, computers all the time. They don't know how to start a conversation or join in one in the public or even carry on a conversation when there is one to be had. I feel sorry for today's youth....

Last time I was alone in a bar I was traveling saw a group of people with a few women and sat down and started talking they were a bit shocked but we had a great time. I have done this many times while on trips. I even sit and start talking to old people it's very educational.
You would expect people to tell you off but they don't.

But I would never ever go to the movies alone on a Friday. If you don't have anyone to go with you than you should reevaluate your life.
