I like when he said he wasn't going to say whether he did or did not cheat...since it was so far in the past it wasn't necessary.

Newton has no shot at the Heisman after the Bush embarrassment just a few months ago. They aren't going to risk having to go through that again. Unfortunately, this is a seriously thin Heisman year.

I doubt anything happens to his playing status before the end of the season, though.
