I just get that feeling. Mostly about Florida and Ohio. I hope there is no violence, but people are really agitated, and distrustful of each other. Let's all be civil and respectful of each other out there tomorrow. I voted absentee, so I have done my part, so there is nothing to sit and wait.

When you have been unfairly and repeatedly denied any other way to express support of your ideals. The threshold is very high. We have a constitutional non-violent way of influencing the direction of our country, and that is something we should all be thankful for. It's not perfect, but as imperfect as it is, it's infinitely more perfect than the alternatives.

Well, it is a fair question. If you are broaching the topic "at what point do you think it's legit to take up arms in support of your ideals?", while having been an advocate (IIRC) of gun control, how exactly do you think people are going to effectively resist?

I never said anything about resisting or doing it "effectively" I was talking about violence... And even if I personally were an advocate of gun control how does that prevent other people from having guns?

Well, if you believe that, at some point, it is "legit to take up arms in support of your ideals", then maybe, just maybe, you might wish to do so effectively. Throwing gravel at a cop in riot gear isnt going to do anything besides give them a perfectly legal reason to arrest you. I've never seen a point to planning to act ineffectively.
