Like ThePresence said.....yes the Colts won, but the Giants sure "scared" the Colts. They played right with them all game. I still maintain that Dallas is the top team in the division, too.

Say what you will, maybe the Redskins have replaced the Eagles as the basement of the division, but the NFC East is still a very tough division, and yes, there are multiple teams that could potentially go to (and win) the Superbowl.

Not only did they play right with them, if the secondary could hang on to 3 dropped INT's the Giants actually could've blown out the Colts. But hey, that's why they play the games. But it's just ignorant to say that none of the NFC East teams scare Indy, and certainly the Patriots.

thats ludicrous. you could say the colts weren't playing well either.

the colts would love to face the giants in the superbowl.

I honestly believe the top 5 AFC teams would manhandle any of the top 5 NFC teams

And you're honestly an idiot. That's not opinion either.

The Patriots are terrible. Terrible! Yes, they're 2-0, but they haven't exactly played Superbowl teams.

Giants had so many missed opportunities that they let slip away. THREE easy interceptions went through the hands of defenders. Penalties galore. Missed 40 yd FG. IF they hang onto those interceptions, if they hit the FG, they would've easily won the game. They beat themselves, they were not smacked around by Indy. Freeny couldn't smell the QB. After seeing that game, I as a Giants fan would love to face Indy in the bowl as well. I know the Giants can play with them.

but brady hasn't played well. your logic is as flawed as the prescence.

like parcells said years ago, it is what it is. and the pats are 2-0.

no, its a simple question :) of course the correct answer is-
My pick right now would probably be Seattle, especially with Deion Branch. .
the nfc east is overrated. like i said, its fun to watch them play because they all play hard but theres not a team that would scare the pats, steelers or colts.

The Colts barely squeeked out a win against the Giants (who were not playing well), and they needed a BS offensive pass inteference call to hold on.

And the Pats barely squeeked out a win against the Bills. Your point?

I don't dispute the the Colts won the game. But it's ridiculous of you to say that the NFC wouldn't scare them. The Giants showed them they could play right with them, and if not for a horribly blown call they might have actually come back to win.

(I know the Giants didn't lose because of the call, but it did effectively end their comeback attempt - at the 40 down by 2 with 3+ minutes remaining)

My point is simply that it's a crazy statement to make that the NFC East doesn't scare the Colts. They were lucky to win that game.

What? How does Brady's play have anything to do with how good the teams they were playing are? That doesn't even make sense.

you say all this like its a good thing. good teams don't drop three picks, miss FGs or beat themselves.

bottom line is they lost. and to be blunt, they aren't nearly as good as you give them credit for. the pats, colts or steelers would have no worries facing them.

It was good to see the Eagles lose today.

I also enjoyed watching the Bills beat the dolphins.

What you say is true, and I admit the Giants were not firing on all cylinders during that game. But even so, they were not outplayed by Indy, they hung with them all game long. They are certainly capable of beating them.

Yes they lost, but they are much better than you are giving them credit for. To say that they wouldn't be scared to play them is just silly.

Sucks about Owen's finger, but over the next 4 weeks he's got a bye, tennessee, philly, and houston. Easy games except for Philly. How much do you wanna bet he'll play in that game....can you really see him missing his return to the Linc?

Hehehe, probably the one time I'd root for Philly to win. :D

On other NFL news... the Chargers are looking good.

Oakland and Ten. are piss oponents (I know) but still...the San Diego D looks evil. Rivers is coming along well.

The 49ers beat the Rams!! As a long time SF fan, I have been waiting patiently for SF to rebuild and come back from the dead. Alex Smith is looking good, SF has a running game, and the D looked stout today.

I'd be scared of the Bears. There defense is on a Ravens type level, and they seemed to have just found an offense to go with it. They have 2 good runners, a good QB (if he can stay healthy) and a decent WR group.

The NFC is going to be a tougher conference this year. Look at Tampa Bay and Washington, 2 playoffs teams from last year. They are both reeling due to the increased level of competition.
