Is there anyway you can get elevated blood sugar readings and not be diabetic? Something that is messing up the tester?
I ask because I have had no symtoms or signs prior to being told I was diabetic. before I was being treated by sugar count was 150-200 now that I am taking 4mg of Avandia it is still the same. There was one day that I spiked 320 but I was in a bad mood and had alot on my mind. Even though I try my best to cut back on breads, have quit drinking any pop with sugar (which I used to drink alot of. Atleast 4 cans a day if not more), and stoped eating candy (except yesterday) all together I still read between 150-180 most of the time when I check I am 160-165. So why is it that before on the drug I was the same as I am now, but, now I have cut back my sugar intake by atleast 3/4.
ALSO I went with out taking my pills for 2 days to see what would happen. I tested myself when I woke up, and before and after I ate breakfast lunch, and dinner and the last of the sencond day 2 hours after dinner I had a reading of 220. All the others before and after was always in the 160-170 range without being on the pill.
So I ask am I really diabetic??? It is obvious I have not gained any advantage being either on the pill or off it. Also would me being under alot of stress have anything to do with this? Or anyone have any ideas?
Sorry I had Lipitor cofused as my diabetes meds.
