As my sig says, 93 240sx.

Its got the HICAS, header, kevlar clutch, intake. This winter is the buildup. DOing the entire suspension, all bushings, wheels and some massive weight reduction(fiberglass & lexan rear hatch).

I also have an ohionissans.com site. We are working on the front page right now, but the forums are up, running, and fully functional with 80+ members already.

Why are you going for weight reduction? The car is pretty light already....you'd also be upsetting the balance a little with taking weight off the back end.

Why not just turbo charge or do a SR20DET swap....it pretty much bolts right in. (not legal though)?

I have seen a lot of guys try for weight reduction and end up spending enough for a full lower end rebuild and a nice turbo setup.

I am also getting a C/F hood, that will help lighten the front end. As far as the weight imbalence, I am just going to run stiffer spring rates where I need to compensate. I dont have the money to dump into a new engine or turbo kit right now, I need money for school, and thats really my main priority. I was about a day away from sending off my money for a redtop motorset about a week ago, but I really had to put it all in perspective and hold back. Besides, as much as I like straight line acceleration, i enjoy road racing, auto-x, etc that much more.

As far as the expense, I am going to be fabbing the fiberglass hatch myself, so costs should be relatively minimal, at least compared to the $650+shipping from japan price that they can be purchased at.

none of them are very recent-- but the car hasnt changed much in the past few months so they'll do. 🙂


(edit-- and niether the roof rack or the windshield visor are on the car at the moment.... had to take off the visor to pass inspections, and never really wanted to put a new one on. .. and once the ski season starts back up this year, the roof rack will go back on)

BTW... the Skyline won this years JGTC championship... imagine that. 🙂 It was its last year... the Fairlady Z takes over next year.
