whoa..nice shocks.

Those Koni yellows don't come cheap.

Yes and the Neuspeed Koni's have 5 height settings instead of 3. It would have been cheaper if we would have bought both as a combo.

Young son bought the race springs then got front camber compensators AND all this with stock 150K mile shocks. I drove the car and determined that we need to get good shocks to control those springs.

I also also added the rear camber comps that he never mounted. Now all we need is to add new front rubber and we are good to go.

You mean 5 dampning settings? Not height? Coilovers can adjust heights, not shocks.

In any case, your a pretty cool dad. 😎

Get some Yokohama AVS ES100, best summer tires for the $$!

No, Koni Yellows/Neuspeed Koni Yellows are height adjustable by moving the spring perch on the shocks. I had them on my Civic before it was stolen. 🙁

Best summer tires for the money are Falken Azenis. 🙂

I didn't know that.

Falken Azenis are really nice, but they wear out wayy to quickly. They are awesome for auto-x-ing and such, but much to soft for daily driving (unless the car is mostly taken out for events only).

The AVS ES100 last much longer, although they do sacrifice a bit of grip compared to the Azenis.

1988 Honda Accord LXi Sedan - Maroon, automatic
1988 Honda Accord LX Sedan - Faded Peeling Paint Silver, automatic
1999 Honda Civic EX Coupe - Silver, automatic

Might be adding a 2004 Accord EX Sedan to the stable tomorrow *keeps fingers crossed*

Rock on Geno!

80s Shelby turbo Chrysler's rock! (I am still somewhat regretting selling my '89 LeBaron GTC turbo II to my neighbor! - At least I still get to see it and drive it now and then!)

I still would love to see the look on the face of a ricer who just got toasted by a turbo minivan!!!! 🙂

Hell, most ricers go down to the non-turbo Odyssey. 😀

Meh, my Maxima will pwn your Odyssey. And it's not even riced! 😀

speaking of hte Honda vs Nissan fanboi-ness..did anyone watch the Honda vs Nissan race in Cali? It was CRXs/Civics vs Sentras/200SX/NX2000 on a road course in California.

I caught that. Honda won🙂 Basic conclusion; Nissans were faster but couldn't handle like the Hondas (fully independent suspensions all around on Hondas, including my Accord).

We used to have a '99 prelude. that was the first time i experienced vtec, and it was pretty cool technology. think about it, no other japanese carmaker has valve timing technology that even comes close to vtec. anyways my bro put intake/headers/exhaust on it and ran a 15.0 in the 1/4 mile. pretty quick for a N/A 4 banger. unfortunately he sold it and got a bimmer. i'm now the only one in the family w/ a japanese car. it's a '95 celica, and it was never worth tuning. i'm due for a new car in 6 months or so, and it probably won't be japanese (unless i can import an S15 or an R34, which i doubt will ever happen). so now i'm more into the german tuning thing, and i haven't been keeping up w/ japanese tuning, so i'm somewhat out of touch. too bad you didn't start this thread a year ago. i would have had more to say about the prelude. anyways, long live the ATOT Honda/Acura Club.

it sounded mean as hell too...i loved driving it. and the exhaust note was beautiful...didn't sound like every other week whacker on the road. anyways, i know we got nothing extraordinary out of i/h/e, but i could swear it was more than just 10 rwhp. nothing like 30, but more than 10. then again maybe i'm remembering it like a child would...you know, with a tendency to exaggerate. i did love the lude, but his new car is more exciting to drive now anyways.

Screw the honda rice burners... Get a car that drinks german beer. 220 HP out of a 1.8T Audi Motor Group engine....mmm...smokin rice-burners in 2nd gear....
