Being emo because a method of server selection is different and thus making a scene and magically making you desire to play the rest of the game vanish is childish.
You are in no way shape or form "being a man" by pounding your chest full of pride because you're sad a system you're used to isn't being utilized.
It's not about conforming, it's about finding good in things, especially when honest to goodness, you haven't even TRIED this method you loathe yet.
EDIT: And if we're going to use the Baby comparison, babies whine and cry and complain when they don't get their way. Men take what they have and make the most of it.
People on here are finding the good in it, they'll save 60$ of their hard earned money now. Just because we aren't buying it doesn't mean we aren't allowed to discuss it. Here's a question for you, how old are you and how many games with dedicated server support have you played? Like I said before, a lot of people have tired console shooters so they know what kind of system is coming, and that is why people are pissed off.
I'm 22 and have been playing both sides of the spectrum from Battle.net from Starcraft days through every major shooter on PC since then. I'm a HUGE FPS fan, from half-life, unreal tournament, quake 3, consistently til now where i play TF2 and L4D a large amount.
I LOVE dedicated servers and what they do.
But IW.NET confirmed their system is more like battle.net than it is Halo's matchmaking. It has lobby systems, utilizes steams userinterface for chatting, and im not even arguing that it's the next coming of christ, it has its fair share of potential problems and lag issues.
But it's just dumb to get in such a rage over something you haven't tried. IW has never delivered a bad game. They want to keep fans, have a little faith that their system isnt complete garbage. No one ever said it would be as good as Dedicated servers.
That's not the point. It's that anything new and "not what fits my love, because im stubborn and prideful" that so many PC gamers seem to have, it just turns into a big ragefest of idiocity and a complete absense of objection and maybe even, gasp, possible improvement!
The point is that if you seriously are so entitled that you think a shift in playstyle that once again, you've never tried, is detering you from the promise of one of the best single and multiplayer experiences (and if you honest to god think mw2 looks worse than mw, you have no credibility), then you SHOULD be whining and crying. Because you're too big of baby, and as this theme keeps coming up, definitely NOT a man.
