yawn indeed. "biggest launch" doesn't equal great game.

CoD:UO was thee greatest game from the series, beyond that, they can consider them all big launches, big deal

I'd like to know what they mean by "Black Ops will not only be for hardcore gamers."

MW2 was a huge hit and now they've basically added stuff on top of it like dedicated servers that people whined about and *now* you won't buy it?

No wonder why PC games are getting more console-ized. That's what you guys buy.

I'm not buying it cus I'm sick of the same game that we've had 3 times already and now it's going to be a fourth.

I launched up MW2 yesterday just for kicks and what do you know, first game I got put into a hacked gun game server -_-

Then I quit, got into a normal game and woo there are 2 aimbotters.

I quit again and go into another game and got killed by retarded grenade launchers, shot blindly from across the map and then quit in frustration.

I wont be getting that one at launch ... might wait til it's on sale or something. I am still lovin BC2, and now SC2 takes up oodles of time.

hopefully we will only allow 1 thread for the game and all others will be locked up ala starcraft 2.

Well, if only that were true. We allowed about 8 - 10 for two weeks,... until people started speaking up. :sneaky: And there are still 3 it appears - which seems pretty reasonable. I hope this game is awesome. I enjoy(ed) both MP/SP in MW2 and the single player in BFBC2 is great. They can't churn out enough of these games for me. It's all I play...

...MW2 was the most disjointed, improbable storyline I have ever seen. Could one man really take over a nuclear sub and launch a missle?? And troops landing in the US...

Millions of Russian troops appearing at burger bars and residential areas in the US, that was hilarious alright. Maybe they just dropped in a few troops and used their secret weapon: perpetual respawn for the rest :D

The game really lost me there which was a shame because I loved the snow levels.

I'm not going to give Activision any more money after the way they ruined MW2 multiplayer, even if this one has dedicated servers. I guess I'll find...some other way...to play the singleplayer.

Seriously hate paying for the same recycled crap every year. This is why the most recent Madden game I have is like 2006 or something. If there's something new and worthwhile, then you'll see my money.

I havent tried the new MOH beta yet because of a "connection" issue, but I'm hoping it gives this game a run for its money.

And considering how badly IW screwed the clan communities, I will risk the rep of Treyarch. Besides, I really didn't think they did too bad with W@W and we can only hope they improve with each passing title.

Yes, and then I play on mod servers. Ours runs like 60 plus maps in rotation. So you need those on top of the patches. I still love it, but in the early days it was very frustrating to run.

It's too bad that people will not go back, in mass, to higher quality online multiplayer FPS's. Some games may have timeless game play even though they may not have the most modern CPU- and GPU-intensive eye candy. There's no reason why FPS fans could not revitalize the original Unreal Tournament (1999), for example. It has loads of free custom content and was one of the greatest online multiplayer FPS games of all time. It's an old gem just begging to be rediscovered.
