halo jumped the shark when they went to loadouts. part of the fun in that game was weapons control.
I strongly disagree. My issues were the negatives stolen from
CoD. A big part was the addition of the highly-inaccurate Killcam, it bothers me in every game. I also wasn't a big fan of ordinance. However, the part of the game that REALLY killed it for me was the map situation. They only gave us about 10 maps, then split them up between small and big game types, so going into the Team Slayer lobby left you with about 5 different maps (Haven, Abandon, Adrift, Solace, and some had Complex). They tried to improve it with the community-made maps, but they were very lag-prone.
On top of that, the maps you got in 4-on-4 were tiny. You could get from one end to the other in about 10 seconds, it seemed. They added the ability to sprint, but also tightened the 4-on-4 maps, it seemed. That led to frustration in grouping up and respawning, and it meant rage quitting after a few bad matches with a lot of spawn killing.
