I loved mw3 but I hated ghosts. Hopefully this game pans out and I like it. If not I'll be waiting til 2015 to see what treyarch does.

I dunno....looks like black ops 2 with a different story. Not sure I like all the futuristic sci fi stuff. I've also stopped being all into the multiplayer so I would probably just rent it for single player. Nothing really different.

That's the problem with call of duty its the same shit year after year. Treyarch at least adds zombies to the mic which is a fun ass game mode

I've played multiplayer for COD for a total of about 15 minutes. You see, I quickly realized that all multiplayer, for any game, is simply running around in an arena trying to shoot each other in the balls. I don't need it.

Never bought a COD game that I can recall (maybe the first one on 360?), but throw Frank Underwood behind it and you have my attention.

I bet they put more time and money into the trailer than the game itself.

Doesn't matter who they put in the trailer. Are they making a movie or a game? When they start using people from tv shows in video games that's when it gets uninteresting.

Interesting to see such strong opinions drawn from a trailer that gives us nothing. Anyone can make a pretty cutscene in the industry, it's not hard to make it look good outside of the actual game. I want to see gameplay, I care nothing for this until I see that.

That said, I agree that it seems a bit like the next step that the Black Ops series would have taken. Granted, I liked the campaign in Black Ops II in part, because you got to play with fun gadgets and weapons, so that might not be a bad thing. However, we need to see something that will add a layer of freshness to the multiplayer, because we all know that the multiplayer sells the franchise.

Trailer looks really cool. Definitely a fan of sci fi stuff. I would like to see them put serious effort into the campaign as well and make it support offline and online co op. I always go back to Halo 1 as the gold standard in my mind since the game had fun multiplayer but also had a really fun single player that was fun to play through over and over and over again.

As an aside, what kind of person carries the opinion of "I don't like Call of Duty/I have never liked Call of Duty/Call of Duty doesn't interest me at all" and when they see a new Call of Duty thread the first thing they think is "now is my chance!" and then in some sort of desperate crazy rush they post as fast as they can before they know anything about the game at all "call of duty sucks".

Seriously guys, nobody gives a damn about your opinion when it's just mindless cruise control bashing of anything with the name Call of Duty. A lot of people like the games and there is plenty to like about them.

I really used to like call of duty games. I guess I still do it's just over time, I have started to not like them anymore.

I wonder if they're finally using a new engine. The general masses/casual crowd has really fallen off the CoD bandwagon from the last game so we'll see how this one goes.

WaW used Kiefer Sutherland's voice. Unless you're specifically talking about likenesses.

A selling point is a selling point. Right now they're showing off Kevin Spacey. He's a great actor, it's a good get on CoD's part. It speaks nothing to the quality of the game either way. Activision certainly has the money.

I haven't played a CoD game since 2. It was amazing. The rest looked meh.

I'm interested. Will wait to see how good the SP campaign looks.

It's still going to be on PS3 and 360 so...my money is on reusing the same engine from a decade ago.

Except I think other games do zombies better anyway. Like Left 4 Dead. Even though for myself I feel that Zombies are overdone and not cool anymore. I was over them with all the Resident Evil games over the years.

Lol...well that may be true to some extent. Many multiplayer games are much more involved than just shooting everyone. It depends on what the devs are trying to do with it, but IMO CoD does MP in a very lazy way. There's nothing unique about it and when there is something new added like a map having varying levels or a more open space, people just bitch about it. So I dunno...I wish it would just fall flat and die so it can be rebuilt as a new game again, rather than releasing the same thing again and again because people keep buying it. Really, CoD4 was great because it was new. Now after so many years of it...stale is about right to me. Also once they removed dedicated servers from PC the experience worsened on that platform.

You missed out if you didn't play cod4

I will admit that I played maybe a half hour of Modern Warfare. I borrowed it from someone a couple years after it came out just to see. I didn't have any urge to go back after that.

Yup, there's a reason we got into this Modern Warfare craze and we all have CoD 4 to thank. It really did change multiplayer FPS games. Also I happen to think that the Black Ops versions are better.

I almost gave up on FPS, CoD just became a twitch fest, mainly based on reflexes. Titanfall changed that for me. That said, seems a lot of Titanfall is coming from the trailer. Invisibility, jump packs, wall climbing. I'll buy and try it as I've bought all since World at War.

I enjoyed Black Ops 1. Couldn't get into Black Ops 2.

CoD made the whole leveling in a FPS shooter a thing.

Well, they made the dumb Prestige and XP-based leveling popular, but Halo 2 had a skill-based leveling system years before.

I liked the Black Ops multiplayer maps more than the successor, but I really liked the gadgets and weaponry you got to play with in BO II, it was really cool.

More than those it gave people to customize their loadout in a deeper and more intuitive way than any console fps's before it. Thats what I loved starting with COD4. I could make my guy setup with the guns I wanted, didnt have to go find them somewhere in the level. Halo games never even had loadouts until Halo 4 (correct me if im wrong)
