Just got done playing the demo on Easy (I know). Really good game. This time around they're supposed to also have a Russian setting which should make it more interesting than typical Germany/Egypt.

Looks and plays great... But overall it feels like Call of Duty with better graphics and not much else.

Yeah it does. Hopefully there will be some new locations.

Well, I just had my ass handed to me about 4 times in a row at the very first drop, but I must say I'm really impressed with the graphics. Playing super smooth at 1680x1050, everything high, 4xAA/16xAF. The models look fantastic, and the dust explosions and heat wave looks just as excellent as well.

There was a Russian setting in the first COD.

For those that have played it, how does it seem to perform on mid-range systems? I've got a XP 2400+ @ 2.5Ghz and a 9800 Pro....as long as I get acceptable FPS at 1024x768, I'll be happy.

Didn't know...only played COD1 demo. So are there any new settings in COD2 then?

Did I mention they have a 1280x1024 resolution setting without hacking in to the configs? Rare these days...

Why do you want a 5:4 resolution anyway? I'd rather see them (developers in general) add some widescreen resolutions instead of 1280x1024. 1280x960 or 1360x1024 are good ones around there though.

Thank you :D. But the mirrors and torrents were found by others, I just relayed the info a little easier to those coming in for the first time.

And a correction to my above post that said I was running super smooth at 1680x1050, 4xaa/16xaf, all details high, I checked my fps with fraps, and I was running in the 25-35fps range through the first part of the demo. I guess with all the action and screen shaking, I didn't notice one bit. My system comprised of an X2 3800+, 7800gt, 1GB PC3200.

Im sorry but the game sucked. Coming from a very long time COD fan. Unplayable on x2 aa 10x7, fps 10-35. Must be a problem with my PC. Maybe after I find out the problem itll be better.

It does sound like your PC has a problem because even with my 6800NU I get the same or better at 1280x1024.

I started with fraps, and at the same settings at 1600x1200 i was dipping into the 20s :|

I since went down to 1280x960 and it looks the same and I stay above 30fps at all times. (The perfectly smooth line)
