Cadillac is really going after the BMW types now... Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon

I like the trend for wagons in the entry level luxury/sport. This, the new EX35, the Saab Sport Combi, audi A3, ect.

Hopefully with high gas prices we can slowly erode the "wagons aren't cool" stigma.

i think it's funny that they're calling it cadillac's first ever wagon. oh really, what was the srx then? oh, it's an 'suv' 😉 😉 gotcha

Awesome,
they should make a crazy CTS-VR version with jus the wagon to promote it (a la RS4)

I thought of that too, and I think I just invoked Skippy's Rule #87 🙂

Fixed

CTS competes with the A4/S4 last I checked 😕

But there isn't a RS4 wagon... Besides, price wise the CTS might compete with the A4, but muscle and size wise, it's in the A6 arena...

Yep the CTS is more a Audi 6/ BMW5 series area.

Caddy has a smaller car in Europe. Its the BTS or soemthing like that. I don't think the sharp lines look as good on a car that small but maybe with a update it be ok.

It's the BLS, and yeah it needs a makeover. The BLS was just about getting a mainstream Cadillac onto the European market. If rumours are to be believed, the next BLS (and next Pontiac G6) will be based off a new small RWD platform called alpha, and is also destined for the U.S.. I just hope the new CAFE standards didn't kill it. :frown:

I disagree, the 850 T5R, MB wagons, and even BMW wagons were all commonplace before 2000.

...yet sadly, the Magnum has died.

I've been strongly considering the Magnum for my next car but I probably won't be ready to purchase until April of next year which will make finding a new Magnum R/T very difficult. This may jump to the front of the line assuming pricing isn't too absurd.

Yeah but I'm talking about the most-rediculous performance version of the car being only available as a wagon.

Thick rear pillar makes it look like a hearse , emphasizes the rear, and hinders visibility 🙁
I like the concept of a wagon though. Just need to work on the rear window/pillar. I want more hatchback look like Mazda3 or Audi A3.

I forgot about the B5... Maybe they'll bring it for the B8.
