You guys are funny. Texas will never be California, even if a bunch of Californians move there.
CNBC ranked Texas as its No. 1 state for business last year, while California drifted toward the bottom of the pile at No. 40. Perry, meanwhile, points out that his state has won the "Best State for Business" title from Chief Executive magazine eight years in a row. He also notes that the cost of doing business in California is 6.3% above the national average and Texas' is 4.6% below it.
This all brings up one really important question: If Texas is such a business powerhouse, why is it begging California businesses and Californians themselves to come on down? Simple: California is still the only state whose economy generates more business than Texas. As of 2011, its gross domestic product sat at $1.96 trillion and made up 13.1% of the nation's total economy. Not only does that give it a greater share than the 8.7% taken up by Texas' $1.31 trillion GDP, but that gives it a larger economy than India ($1.897 trillion GDP in 2011), Russia ($1.86 trillion), Canada ($1.736 trillion), Australia ($1.51 trillion) and Spain ($1.478 trillion
"I can understand why Rick Perry is interested in California. We were the national jobs leader for most of the last year with 257,000 new private sector jobs," said Kish Rajan, director of the California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development, told CNN. "Real job creation comes from California's history as a national leader in start-ups and the expansion of homegrown businesses."
As CNN points out, however, California's recent approval of sales taxes and new taxes on the wealthy created an opening for Perry's publicity campaign. Unfortunately for Perry, business relocation accounts for only 0.03% of California's job losses. Also, despite golfer Phil Mickelson's grousing about taxes costing him a stake in the San Diego Padres and Perry imploring him via Twitter to move down to Texas, he's stayed put.
The primary purpose of a gun is to kill, just as the primary purpose of nuclear weapons is to obliterate cities. Right? That's why we have hundreds of them -- because we really want to blow up cities. Israel also has a bunch because they desperately want to blow up cities.
Boston is one of the most expensive cities in the U.S. Moving to somewhere in California has good odds of being cheaper as long as you avoid some parts of the bay area.
No.
You should do some more reading on the subject.
I love guns but yeah, they are a tool with limited function. Killing things. Mostly humans but also sometimes animals.
You could use the target shooting argument but really for that all we would NEED is 22 LR.
Nope, better to use arguments like everyone who has given them up has suffered at the hands of their own government, or something along those lines.
Knives and hammers and screwdrivers have limited intended functions but can also pull double duty from time to time. So long as you dont actually break it, you are fine.
A gun is really only good for putting holes in stuff from a distance. And not for construction purposes either, a drill is better for that.
Nothing wrong with a tool for killing humans - or more specifically, lowlife thugs who would kill you first if given the chance. But the Kalifornians don't like to mention the second part.
So Texas is the fertile ground and California is only around because of captive businesses. Got it.
So making people show ID to vote is not acceptable because it puts up a monetary barrier for a constitutional right, but requiring ID and yearly checks for a 2nd amendment right is A-OK.

Well, as it stands you already need an ID and a check EVERY TIME YOU BUY A GUN.
So I dont really see how its much worse.

LOL...Kalifornia is the state people are fleeing en masse, Texas is the state welcoming them with open arms and jobs and lower taxes and...well, we really don't need to bragNo, California is the state leading the country in venture capital and new ideas.
Texas is a wasteland that only exists because it happens to be sitting on top of massive amounts of gas and oil.

Keep living in the past and keep that head up your ass, makes the smog out there smell better![]()
LOL...like I said, keep that head square up your ass champ, it's working for youBrag? The only people bragging about Texas are the people living in Texas. Most everyone else realizes it is a polluted wasteland filled with rednecks.
No smog here, only some of the cleanest air in the country.
Most people don't dream of living in Texas, they dream of living in California. But it's not for everyone, you can't be a broke bitch and buy real estate here.
Enjoy your hellhole.

I have to call bullshit on that! In my area of the State we get to breath the crap and shit the bay area puts into the air. You fucking polluting assholes since you live on the coast get to pass your smog/particulates/NO2/ozone and other pollutants downwind into the air in MY damn county. In Nevada County 9 out of 10 of the pollutants in the county come from out of county sources. Damn smug smog passers.
9 out of 10 pollutants come form out from out of county? I don't believe it. Links?
All of the diesel trucks and farm equipment stirring up dust, and you blame us?
I'm sure you people out there are pure as driven snow.
