I already answered yours questions... What other questions did you have ?

The CPU temps monitoring software. I usually use PC Probe and it says my temps are under 50DC under load. When using Core Temp though, it says 54DC and 47DC for cores 1 and 2 respectively. Is this normal?? Also, what is the maxium temps for an AMD X-2 3800+ and RAM. My RAM is running under 40DC under load. Many thanks in advance.

core temp seems to show higher temps than other software. So by worst case, your temps are under 60c, you are FINE. Memory at 40C is fine also. And what heat sink are you using, and are you overclocking ? and whats the amient temp ?

I'm using the stock heatsink. I don't plan on getting an aftermarket heatsink. I'm only doing a small amount of overclocking. The max overclock I'll go to is probably at around 2300MHZ because I'm using Kingston Value Ram. And your amient temp question....What is that. 😱

I am just 14 years old....Many thanks again.

The abient temperature is about 20DC. But, the computer is right on top of the vent since that is the only place where I can put the computer. My computer is off the floor though by about 2 inches. I have 1 side fan blowing the hot air out, but I don't think I have any fans blowing in the cooler air.

Been running Orthos blend for 4 hours and 20min right now. Everything's stable. This RAM is really cool for the money. It's already overclocked to 700MHZ. Somehow...the RAM speed changed when i overclocked the CPU. Is this the effect of the memory controller on AMD CPUs?

Your memory increases as you overclock the CPU (when you raise the front side bus aka FSB). Both memory speed and CPU speed are derived from the FSB. If you want to control your memory speeds, your board has to support memory dividers which will be somewhere in the memory configuration/controls that will say something like 166Mhz, 200Mhz, 1:1, 4:5, 5:4, 4/5, etc. Some dividers allow you to make your memory run faster than the FSB, others allow you to run your memory slower than the FSB, which is helpful if your CPU can overclock more but the memory can't.

OK,you still have not apologised for this (calling me a liar), or posted any screen shots of your 4400 @ 2.97. This paragraph is exactly the garbage that makes us all mad at you. And I am on air cooling. You are on ?????

A few posts back you admitted high temp after no one bought your claim of 47c load temp. I said I take back what I said because you were man enough to admit it. Now you keep rehashing the same subject and continue to offend me. You just don?t get it do you?
Below is a thread that answer's your questions about my 4400 overclocking, temp and cooling. Read the pages and view all the screenshots.
BTW, if you think what I say I cannot back up, let me make it easy on you: I don?t Lie.

EDIT: And for the rest of you who redicule a fellow human being, may god have mercy on you. I forgive you because you never knew and will never know the meaning of decency, kindness and fairness- you are a pagan.

you're an idiot.

Wow, someone call a fireman to this thread!

ontopic: after seeing these results, I might end up going with a C2D if Nvidia fixes their 680i chipset problems. Until that happens im still looking at a 4400 /4200 to OC.
