Shaq missing the punch could be the difference between a getting suspended for a few games or getting suspended for a few weeks
 
I think that shaq missed because he subconsciously knew he shouldnt hit that sorry excuse for a man. that guy deserved what he got, maybe even more. why should shaq have to take it? just cause the bulls suck, I propose the bulls just disappear. they suck too much. they suck so muck I am in the northeastern part of my house, (I live in socal)
 
if noone else was there who do you think wouldve won, i think you know who i would vote for. unless he really did miss the punch.

i agree. but i cant believe the people in here think what shaq did was justified. sure he was getting hacked and being played on a more physical level. does that give him the right to throw a punch?? i think not. if we all lashed out when we got frustrated there would be a lot more people dead in this world and a lot more in jail. i completely blame him for what he did and i hope he gets a 10 game rest and the biggest fine the NBA hands out. but this is all IMHO of course.

you, sir, have obviously never been in that type of a situation. In highschool... I hit one of my own friends in basketball practice...he kept on fouling me real hard on I eventually flew off the handle and slammed him in the grill. He didn't appreciate that too much but he also stopped fouling me...and amazingly enough, we became closer friends shortly thereafter.

Anyhow...naughty Shaq...whatever, the nba is a freakin' circus anyhow.:|

Actually, no. No one threw a punch to instigate a fight but Shaq. Shaq's a good player, but he can't do much without his number one talent, that big arse of his... He'd be - Brad Miller! Oh wait.. Miller makes his free throws...

You're just bitter cuz the Bulls rolled over your (insert favorite team here) for so many years... Give them some time. They'll be back. Soon as they get rid of Krause they'll be back.

Have you ever even played competitive sports? Sometimes crap happens in the heat of the moment. Shaq has been getting hacked like that every night for his entire career, but he has never lashed out like that. Sometimes, enough is enough, and you get tired of it and snap. Shaq has always been a very reserved person on the court for his entire career, because he is fully aware of the damage he could do if he got mad. I'm not a fighter either, but I have been in situations where I got pushed and pushed, and I finally snapped and went after someone. Sometimes you have to stand up for yourself, or people will push you around. Shaq has never done anything like this before, and people just kept on pushing him. Players in the league know he's big and strong, but they also know you can get away with hacking on him because he holds his temper so well.

Shaq has always been a very reserved person on the court for his entire career, because he is fully aware of the damage he could do if he got mad. Shaq's been proving it ont he court for 10 freaking years. The only other time he lashed out was when Charles Barkley cheap-shotted him, and that was nothing. He IS used to controlling himself, he has been doing it in the NBA for 10 years, but sometimes enough is enough. If Shaq had a bad temper and wanted to start hurting folks, you would see it on the news every night, but it rarely if ever happens. This was one of those rare situations where Shaq got pushed beyond even his high limits. I know you are Mr. Perfect, and never raise a fist in anger after people push you around, but for us human folk, sometimes you get pushed too far and react. Hell, my mom, who would never fight anyone, was glad Shaq finally stood up for himself.
 
I like watching college basketball a lot more than the NBA.

By the way, UCLA beat Kansas! The #1 team in the nation! Go Bruins!
 
so u guys r saying that if u were 7-1 320lbs...u would not post ppl up and dunk in their face? if u were that size, i doubt u'd be try to launch 3's or cross ppl over. shaq's got size and he uses it legally. most times when he hits ppl, its accidental (mutumbo has the same problem hitting ppl becuz he's so damn tall). the hack a shaq method is clearly a deliberate attempt to whack him and not the ball. i don't blame shaq for getting pissed off. taking whacks at ppl in the nba usually results in flagrant fouls, but the hack a shaq ppl usually only get a personal foul. there are other ways to get shaq to the free throw line...how about a bear hug? and if teams are so scared of shaq, then just sign some scrub and take a dive at his knees. just my $.02 ...

by the way, did anyone see that idiot miller jumping around like an idiot with his jersey off? he had his guns up like he was rocky or something. i sure would've like everyone to step aside and let shaq back at him. see him run like the litte b-tch his is.

yeah. so someone like Reeves who is almost the same size can put up the same numbers as Shaq.

Just because u are big doesn't mean that you have skill. Have you seen Shaq play as a guard? He has a crossover that can burn a lot of NBA players. U want to know how coordinated Shaq is? Shaq can do windmills....and i'm not talking about the dunk either.
 
Shaq is an idiot. He tried to sucker punch him and missed. It's almost as bad as the time he got his ass handed to him by Charles Barkley. Also, Shaq was too much of a wuss to go after Oakley who was the one who actually hit him hard. He knew that Oakely would have taken him to school the say wan Barkley did.

BTW, what goes around comes around. Shaq gets away with knocking people around in the post with his big fat ugly ass and shoulders all the time. Actually, he gets away with more offensive foul then anybody else.

never said i was mr perfect. just said i have never sucker punched anyone on any playing field. never said he wasnt proving it all the time, just stated that he should continue to prove it rather than resort to throwing punches. i'm not going to continue to argue your opinion or my opinion. you are a lakers fan and therefore shaq could do no wrong in your eyes.
