Well, we're just barely over 2 months with my new computer, and I am already having a head-scratching BSOD problem.

I shut down last night, and when I went to start it this morning, it gets tot he "Windows" load screen, maybe 3-5 seconds in, and the BSOD's and shuts down and restarts, trying to start startup recovery... Which says it cannot fix the problem.

What the hell?

It's the same thing that happens if I take a HDD from one computer and put it in another computer without a fresh install of Windows, hardware configuration is messed up.

Do I seriously have to reinstall Windows7 already?

Did you maybe accidentally change some BIOS settings? Or perhaps the CMOS battery died and reset things to default. At any rate, check your BIOS settings, especially the SATA controller mode.

Nope.. Something effed up when it shut down, must have been an update of some sort...

Anyway, used the Win7 disc repair options, it detected the problem right away and fixed it :)
