I ordered a wall mount for my plasma from buy.com last week. Item shipped out standard UPS ground for delivery on Friday. I track the shipment Friday, expecting to see "Out for Delivery" but its still listed in Orlando, and we're in Tampa. SO I call UPS and ask about it, and they say the tracking info must not be updated yet, and since the expected delivery date is still Friday, it will be there that day.
6:30 pm, I call and ask for status, they say it will still be delivered, and the driver has until 7pm. I still see the last scan is in Orlando, but I think ok, they must know better than me. So at 7pm when it doesn't arrive, suddenly the delivery date has been changed to Monday. They say it must have gotten stuck somewhere. The UPS rep suggested to contact the seller/shipper and they will refund the shipping charges.
So I email buy.com yesterday after its delivered and say that UPS missed their date and to please request a refund from UPS and credit me back for shipping. Today I get an email from buy.com saying that the unit arrived within the standard 7 days and they would not refund shipping.
What do you guys think? Worth it to try to dispute a portion of the charge with my credit card company? Am I being a d*ck?
