Off-topic but I can't wait to watch There will be Blood on this sucker! :D;

:thumbsup:

it is tits. I've had the BD since release day on my 42" plasma (only 720p!--still tits), and you're mind will be blown consistently, for ~ 1 year, if you are now upgrading from an SD elephant-sized 4:3, or something like that.

mine was also a BF purchase--Samsung, 42" PDP 720p!!! for.....$900!!!! it was a steal then, lol.

so happy to see that there are now deals like this, only 4 years later.

awesome.

:)

Curse you.

I kept refreshing, but it was well past 12:01 and the price never changed on neither the Buy.com product page or my cart. It was only until I saw someone in the SD thread say to just go ahead with checkout for the price to show up, but by the time I reached the end of checkout it was sold out.

Best TV deal of the year though. Should be an awesome TV.

I saw that one too, freaked, added it quickly, saw the price, freaked, paid, did a little mental jig, nearly had a heart attack when I almost selected the $150 shipping option, finalized....

*and then I remembered that the $79 squaretrade warranty would no longer be $79...

:evilgrin;

I then found some coupons and went to town...

well, a few B&M have players on sale tomorrow--also TigerDirect or Fry's has been advertising ~$60 players for this weekend.

all online, I think.

Yeah... had that LG in mind if it is still valid.

I had ignored it earlier because I did not have a TV:(

Man... I would've chased that if my budget allowed me to...
I went for the 32" Auria from Newegg for $200 instead. 720p.

I just got the LG BD530 from Amazon for $70. I was debating whether or not to get the BD550 ( has Netflix HD = more HD movies than using my laptop) but the on board and latest firmwares seemed to have ruined the player (lots of skipping etc)

I'll need to setup Bluray on netflix too...

I could have won too. I decided against buying the thing. It's worthless to me since I am going to be moving a lot. I thought about buying it and reselling it, but too much hassle. :/

Got a coupla HP mousepads for under 6 bucks/each. An APC UPS, $100. Few blu-rays from bestbuy/amazon. All online stuff. Can't go to stores, since I'm working this morning.

Didn't get the 7.99 LOTR that people are going crazy over. I think most of these will be flipped for resale.

Pants are always a good thing to have if you're moving a lot. :biggrin:

I cannot claim to have "won" anything this BF. My wife and I searched through all the local B&M sale ads and found nothing worth buying. I looked through many on-line ads this morning ... and again found nothing. It's a strange feeling not really needing or wanting anything.

Congrats on your new TV ... if you get it. I've heard that certain e-retailers are canceling orders.

Those plasmas are power alligators! ;)

i'm confused...why is a 42" tv at over $5000 a good deal?

i thought maybe this was a "special" tv but i see it going for about $500 at other sites, so now I'm really confused.

also why didn't it add the tax and shipping to the total?

nice. where from? i was going to jump on this for $499 free shipping, but ill wait

I got that TV about 3 weeks ago from Amazon for the same price (it also dropped to $475 about a week after I bought it). It's been great so far.

I was almost just tempted to buy the $50 blu-ray player from Amazon, but all my movies are in DVD and I had not near-future plans to start buying BD instead. And I really don't need to spend the money right now.
