If this is not the AVITRON KDS , don't bother. The avitron have the sony trinitron tube, but the other lines use cheap tubes. I'd rather stare at a 17" sony tube than a 19" cheapie tube. (I have both a cheap 19" and 17" kds avitron). Just my opinion. Good price no less.

I always see everyone talking about this "30 off 150" deal at buy.com, but I never see a link... can anyone provide one?

I canceled my order, and you may want to as well.

I called the Buy.com customer support and they confirmed it was a "Clearance/Refurb" monitor. They said it Did NOT have the manufacturers warranty and that it would only be covered by a 30 day Buy.com warranty.

Not so hot a deal now...

Just thought every would like to know 'cause I had to wait 50mins on hold to get through. :(

I wont lie... I regret this... I tried calling to cancel and they can't cancel it for me... but they said to refuse acceptance when delivered... if anyone gets this monitor post what they think of it ASAP! I may just keep it... have to think about it. Post your thoughts on this monitor guys.
Thanks

Hey, guys, I dont know about this monitor, but I bought my KDS-V19SN for $350+tax last summer. Its supposed to be similar to the one buy.com has on sale, only mine is a shortneck monitor :)
Basically, its one of the best monitors Ive seen. It supports 1600x1200 at 75hz. I run it on my canopus spectra 2500(TNT) at 1280x1024x85. It has nice control. Quake looks great on it(1024x768) and its supported by all major OS(including linux).
The only problem with the monitor that buy.com has is its not shortneck version, so if you dont have much deskspace, go buy a LCD screen. As far as refurbished warranty goes, buy it with your Amex blue card to take care of that.
I am still contemplating buying a second monitor....419 left

I had a feeling these monitors are refurbished. To sell it for this price and offering no warrenty, it fits the profile.

Hey doesn't the USA have laws against false advertizing? Nowhere on the Webpage can I see anything about this monitor being a refurb. Does this company often do this. I have a Sanyo portable phone on the way from them. It was at a good price too. Does that mean it is a refurb too? Can you tell if one of their items is a refurb with out calling them? What a rip!!
