No thanks, virtually all of those places will run you 5-6G on taxes alone. Plus take a look at google street view of the hood (literally)
 
Wow. I think some people are going to make Big Bucks in Detroit. I seriously doubt it won't recover within 10 years.

Detroit's population has, IIRC, gone down about 50% since its peak. The city is moribund, epically.

I seriously doubt it will recover in our lifetimes. The suburbs around it might recover, but not the City of Detroit itself.

(Not saying blacks don't have money to set up industry, but the council is just acting anti-business, no businessman black or white is going to save this town when the government is more or less being racist against an entire segment of potential customers/suppliers/business).

I didn't notice the link to the council until you mentioned this. WTF!? How is open racism like that allowed in a public official? Can you imagine if this were reversed?

Detroit is an epic sh*thole. Average selling price of a home has fallen to just under $6000 <- not a typo. I think median price (I am aware of the difference between average and median, but not sure if the articles I read these numbers in were) was $7500 in December. Detroit has to be one of the least desirable cities in the country now. It has been bad for a long time and it's just so much worse now.

Oh I forgot to add, you can petition to have the taxable base reduced by the city. But the outcome of a white boy asking to have someone else's tax burden reduced is predictable...
