I never said that. I know for a fact (from our very own Martin) that Europeans are genetically superior to anyone else in the world and that colonialism was a glorious time for the world 😕

I've even posted an article very similar to this one a few months ago. But hey, don't let reality get in the way.

Quite frankly, I am shocked that a larger percentage of the population doesn't support restrictions on Muslims. I have to ask myself, "How stupid are people?" The bottom line is this -- the vast majority of terrorists roaming the earth today are Muslims. It's not right-wing Christians, wacked-out liberals, tree-huggers, Asians, Mexicans, Baptists, Catholics, Indians, Scientologists, Pantera fans, or any other group. It is MUSLIMS. More specifically those of Middle Eastern descent.

One of the primary responsibilites of the U.S. government is to protect its people. Political correctness should not stand in the way of a legitimate effort to do this. It makes perfect sense to restrict and control Muslims in the United States. Just as it makes perfect sense to profile Muslims at the airport and other places. Not doing so only places more lives at risk and further threatens the security of this country. If Muslims are offended by this or cannot accept it, there are alternatives. They were not forced to come to this country and are not forced to stay here. Muslim-Americans are just going to have to accept the fact that the security of the United States and its population is the most important factor.

Not restricting the civil liberties of Muslims, or any other group of people, for the greater good of the country would be ridiculous.

Can we restrict those who blow up abortion clinics too? Oh wait those are right wing christians....

Better yet, let's round up all religious people and shoot them. That way no one gets killed in the name of god (no matter what you call him) anymore.

Cornell student researchers questioned 715 people in the nationwide telephone poll conducted this fall. The margin of error was 3.6 percentage points.

You can extrpolate from 715 people to a nation of almost 300,000,000? Hmmm.

Also, I'd like to see the questions.

Yes, it's called statistical sampling. Anybody who has any sort of higher education than high school should be aware of what this is.

Well, I guess in the year 2004, I would expect more from the citizens of the most successful nation on our planet. But I guess that's expecting too much?

All I know is that I am so very glad that I grew up in Northern California and I now live in Southern California.

sorry, I tried, but I'm just not getting you 🙂

I believe he was referring to this: Here

high school government teachers are not doing their jobs.

Tim McVeigh & crew were white men. therefore, all white men should have to register, too.
who can doubt that if he'd been resourceful enough he would've flown a plane into a building?

And what's an appropriate sample size to extrapolate to a diverse population of 300,000,000? 715 seems pretty low to me.

Dyyuuuh. Yepper. That 715 is waaaay too low. 1203 out of 300,000,000 is much better and can be taken as gospel. Dyuuhh.

One of Rip's threads...
In the new University of Texas poll, Zogby International conducted interviews of 1,203 adults during the middle of August.

Fine, Rip. Here are all the tools you need to solve for a confidence interval.

Why would he care? What does this have to do with the racist, xenophobe scum of the earth called Europeans?

Really, you posted something that wasn't about Europeans being racists? I call shens until you provide a link.

The vast majority of terrorists today are Americans. Ask any Iraqi.

If one of the primary responsibilities of the U.S. government is to protect its people, then how can your plans to restrict and control Muslims be implemented when the Muslims in question are Americans?

To suggest Muslims aren't forced to come to America or stay here is offensive and it ignores the fact that they are already here and already Americans, again ignoring the U.S. government's primary responsibility to protect its citizens.

When you restrict and control the rights of any group you diminish the rights of everyone. Stop swallowing the Bush fear mongering. If we destroy the rights of Americans by allowing people like you to cast your xenophobic net over America the terrorists have already won.

polls are flawed as the elections proved.

The U.S is divided and to really do an accurate poll you'd have to poll like 20,000 and from each section of the U.S.

With about 1,000 properly sampled adults, you can get a good understanding of 150,000,000 or so adults in the US.

Honestly, if you don't think that the US as a majority isn't against anyone who is not straight, white and christian you need your perception skills checked.

The average consenus is:

Muslims/Arabs are terrorists

Blacks commit most crimes and we're scared of them

Mexicans feed on my hard earned money

The Asians are the worst though, if they are not communisting around your backs they are stealing the jobs.

No, sorry, the Europeans are the worst, racist scumbags, the lot of them, not at all like the American freedom loving Patriotic people.

All hail the grandious leader, say hail, say hail, hail Bush!

Bullcrap, if you are muslim you are a terrorist and deserve torture and pain, go to hell you unpatriotic freedom hating racist scumbag muslim lover!

Nuke Iran! all together now, NUKE IRAN!!

The terrorists may come from SA, but the house of Saud is a friend, so let's stick our heads in the sand about that.

Woooohooo, who to invade next, we can hardly wait, perhaps Norway? I hear they have oil! nah, not enough towelheads to blow to shreds, i mean, these people are White Christians, people would actually care about them, better pick a muslim nation.

Not really, what you need is a sample size chosen, and a sample targeted that accounts for various identifiable sub-populations.

I have no information about whether the sample used is adequate, but you don't just pull a number out of your head and say 'this many'.

Sampling more people with no reason to do so simply reduces your confidence interval; it doesn't actually make the sample 'more accurate' (just statistically more precise).

why is that such a bad idea?

Good question. While the threat of terrorism is greatly exxagerated (IMO), we know exactly who and where the threat is coming from. When it comes to being safe I think we should err on the side of caution. Isn't that just plain. old, common sense??

Oh wait even better we'll just have fox news lie and tell everyone slaves were never free in the first place and they wanted to be enslaved

I have no idea what any of that has to do with what I said. Is English not your first language?

If we invade a few more countries, we'll be much safer today than we were before we invaded Iraq, at least by Bush's view. I think we should invade Iran and Syria, or at least make invading them our New Year's resolution. Er, wait, that won't work because no one keeps New Years' resolutions. Oh, drat!

Muslims aren't the worst. Gays are the worst. We need to hang them all and end their attempted tyranny over our sexual orthodoxy. If we ever let them get the power we've given to blacks the white man's reign will end and this country will go into the dumper for sure.

Muslims? Pfft....

This, paraphrased of course, is just what Hitler said in 1939. Think about what your post entails. I did not do this to offend anyone, just to show Megamorph what type of statement he made.
